I'm sorry, but Blum's book is one of the most criticized runecasing
books around. There are many other much better books available.
Suggestions:

Peschel, Lisa: A Practical Guide to The Runes (good beginner's book on
runecasting)
Willis, Tony: Discover Runes (introductory book, discusses casting
layouts as well as interpretation of the runes.)
Thorsson, Edred: At the Well of Wyrd (good introduction, by one who is
sometimes considered to be THE authority)
Thorsson, Edred: Futhark: A Handbook of Rune Magic (more
advanced. Thorson has several other book on runes: Rune Might, Rune
Lore, The Nine Doors of Midgard. He also founded the Rune Guild.)
Tyson, Donald: Rune Magic
Tyson, Donald: The Power of the Runes

If you (or anyone else) would like a reading list that includes
runemagic, nordic mythology, norse shamanism, teutonic religion (all
interrelated subjects), please Email me. Sunnyway@aol.com
