An Iranian interior ministry official says his government will cancel the residency permits of 400,000 unmarried Afghan refugees on Wednesday. He said the Afghans will then have 15 days to leave the country.The official said married Afghans and some Afghans married to Iranians will also be sent back home in the future. The repatriation from Iran was supposed to have started last year but the UN refugee agency could not come up with the estimated 15 million dollars needed for the operation.Voice of America - May 2, 1995And yet there are some who consider Iran to be an Islamic State and a role model. The last we heard was that an Islamic State was for all Muslims.
