Dear Brothers,
 
We would like to invite you to the new professional organization for
Muslim Educatiors,"International Association of Muslim Educators".
As it has been stated in the "Statementof Purpose," it was found with firm
belief that Muslims in education, like all otherfields, have to share
their experiences, knowledge and research with their fellowMuslims.  This will
enable Muslim educators to discuss matters of their own. And it willestablish
a communication channel among educators of Muslim World variety of other
activities in the future.  It is time to form bridges among us because,
we believe that Muslims in the fields of Educational Science have great
potential in each Muslim country. IAME's purpose is pool this link these
potentials together for greater objectives.
 
After months of discussion with brothers from different Muslim countries,
we havedecided to initiate such an organization for Muslims in Educational
Science. Alhamdulillah, it has been going very good. We have reached out
brothers in the fields of Educational Science from Turkey, Saudi Arabia,
Yemen, Palestine, Indonesia, Malaysia, United Arab Emirates.
In the mean time, we are trying to reach to similar professional
organizations for Muslims.
 
Our goal is to reach out as many Muslims possible in the fields of Educational
Science throughout the Muslim World. Once we have reached 75 to 100
professionals that we believe we will have by late this fall, we will start
publishing a quarterly journal of Educational Science. Our goal is to publish
papers and articles that are general interest to professionals in education.
We believe that so many professionals in this field has good researches and
experiences to share with the rest of the Muslim World. It will be an
excellent source for all of us in our academic improvement. In the mean time,
we will focus on Islamic Education System.
 
Attached you will find our the "statement of purpose" and the "membership
application form" that you can apply through email. Please feel free to
contact us should you have any concerns or ideas for IAME. And please
distribute both application form and statment of purpose to your
colleguaes. In the mean time consider our journal to publish your studies.

STATEMENT OF PURPOSE:
 
      Muslim World, today more than ever, has to work hard to deal with issues
oftheir own and that of the world. To bring justice to this earth again,
we, Muslims inevery field, must put serious efforts to formulate Muslims way
of life. One way of achieving that goal is to have institutions dealing with
every aspects of life. We believe that muslims should be able to provide
solutions for issues ranging from land development to economy.
We regard those institutions as one of the necessary wheels to accomplish
formulating our own system of life.
      The International Association of Muslim Educators, IAME, has been
established out of the above concerns. As Muslim professionals in education,
we believe that our most important duty is to bring out the Islamic perspective
on every aspects of education. We all know that education, more than any other
social institution, reflects nations' own value system. The time has already
passed to have our education system IAME, we believe, is a start for
communication among Muslim educators for such purpose. It will provide a bridge
to share ideas, knowledge and experience. Moreover, it will facilitate the
efforts to build our own education system.
 
      As our functions, we do not intend to give a list of activities to be
completed in the future. We believe that committed member of IAME will set
the course, however; we plan to start with a journal. A quarterly journal is
our target. We believe that the journal will be an excellent channel to share,
discuss and raise concerns over the issues we have deal in education. Besides
journal, conferences, special task groups to work on some specific projects,
providing assistance to policy making are a few prospective functions to name.
 
      IAME is open to all Muslim educators from all over the world. We welcome
all the professionals and students in the area of education or in any field
related to education. Of course, education concerns not  only educators but
everyone else who has been touched by the education system. That is why we are
open to all Muslims who are committed to built an education system of our own.
