CONVOY AID TO BOSNIA

Exodus from Bosnia
Countless numbers of refugees including helpless women and
children have been turned out of their homes to face a harsh
winter without shelter. They desparately need tents, warm
winter clothing, non-perishable foods and medical supplies.
In order to take these across Europe, funds are needed to
purchase supplies, and help with getting hold of transport.
Convoy to Bosnia
BACO are raising money and collecting supplies for a trip
from Oxford to Bosnia by road, in mid-October. We have
very little time before winter sets in, so we hope to set off on
Friday 17thOctober, take two days to get there, unload and
return.
How can I help ?
* By raising money: every little bit will help buy supplies.
* By collecting tinned foods and winter clothing, tents, boots,
and blankets.
* By helping to obtain the loan of a van or lorry for the seven
days or so it will take to go and come back.

HOW TO HELP BOSNIA ?

In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Benificent
Assalmualaikum,
This article was written by the Muslim Alert Network (Islamic Circle of North
America). I am posting it on the net with their permission, with the hope
that it will give helpful sugestions to Muslims who are concerned about the
Bosnian crisis.

NO! U.N.O! IT'S TOO LITTLE, TOO LATE!

You must have seen the video pictures of Serbian concentration camps in
which Muslims of Bosnia are kept. They are just like the Nazi concentration
camps.
So far 3 million out of 7 million Muslims of Bosnia have been made homeless.
More than 200,000 are either injured or killed. Thousands of Muslim girls,
between ages 15 to 20, have been forced into sex slavery of the Serbian army.
You must have also heard that the United Nations Organization(U.N.O) has once
again refused to take military actions against the Serbian aggressors.
U.N.O Security Council on August 14 has authorized use of military force if
needed to ensure only the delivery of food and medicine to besieged Bosnian
civilians.
The victims, the Bosnian Muslims, have rejected it. We reject it as well:
NO! U.N.O! IT'S TOO LITTLE, TOO LATE!
Bosnians do not want the last meal to be served to them before Serbians kill
therest of them. They want the following things to defend themselves against
the fourth largest army of the world:
1) Air strikes against the Serbian positions and military might to force them
to withdraw.
2) Lift embargo of Bosnia so they can get arms and military support from the
world to defend themselves.
SUGGESTED ACTIONS:

We request you to work on a 4 point plan:
1) Bombard the U.N.O Security Council with phone calls and faxes that what they have done is not enough. Demand that they immediately meet again and decide for air strikes against the Serbian positions and lift the embargo against Bosnia
and Croatia.
2) Force Muslim Governments to supply arms to Bosnia. Their ambassadors to the
U.N.O should be asked to pressure the Security Council for the military actions.Muslim governments should also take advantage of the current resolution and
commit armies to Bosnia. Also demand them to call for the General Assembly
meeting if the Security Council does not take military actions against the
Serbs. Any World Almanac in the library will give you the phones and addresses
of all the embassies. We are giving here the phones of some Muslim Ambassadors
to the U.N.O.
3) Continue to put pressure on president Bush and Clinton campaigns. The problemis likely to continue. The president Bush might want to delay actions against
Serbs until elections. Clinton's pressure on Bush is working. We must maintain
contact at all levels, city, state, and national level with both campaign
offices. Why their candidates are not taking a stronger stand on Bosnian
holocaust? It's about time that the candidates hear from you.
4) Speak to non muslims about the holocaust in Bosnia against Muslims and
Croats. ICNA has prepared a special brochure for nonmuslims. Request them for
action. Many muslims who have tried to gather signatures from their offices and
schools to pressure Bush have found overwhelming support. Ask them to call the
White house and the Clinton campaign office for military action to stop the
holocaust.
