I am a full-time stay at home father and home schooler living in the
wilds of roadless Alaska and have been active in patriotic affairs
since I got booted from my high school choir class in 1962 for
recruiting for my father's John Birch Society chapter.  

I started the ACT list in the summer of 1993 after I found it
impossible to carry on an intelligent conversation on alt.conspiracy
in Usenet.  Every time Lance Bledsoe, Steve Crocker, Joe Gaut or I
would say anything about the CFR/Trilateral conspiracy, some NWO
stooge would get us so bogged down in argument, we couldn't get
anything done.  For a while I ran the list from my personal mailbox. 
Then on 26 August 1993, Alan Millar donated space on his Majordomo
server and ACT was officially born.  Alan, incidentally, is a Perl and
Linux wizard who was one of the early developers of Majordomo after
Brent Chapman wrote the program.  We are really fortunate to have him
helping with the list.

Lance has had the list for exactly one year.  He took it on 30 March
1994 when we moved the list to Zilker.net.  From there he took it to
fc.net and now it is back on bolis.sf-bay.org.  We've come full
circle.

In any case, we are really happy to have you aboard.  Let us see if we
can plan together to preserve the liberties that we love and thwart
the gangsters that plot against our beloved Constitution.  Perhaps we
will become good friends as well.
