Wiccans/Neopagans... will more often tell you that these are the 
relationships with the gods...


Given that 'inner plane' indicates a subjective relationship with a very
important entity, I tend to think that the experience is identical, only
interpreted in different ways based upon one's mythological foundation.


Christians would translate the inner entities to 'Holy Spirit' or 'Jesus'
based upon their mythological preferences.  Ditto for those who cannot find
value in the conservative Christian mythos, but in reverse.  That is, they
will see it in the Hermetic reincarnation paradigm, in the paradigm of the
Neopagan gods, in the paradigm of trance-channelling aliens, in revelations
by angels, etc.  I'm fairly convinced that the experience is common within
religious communities and interpreted into diffusion thereafter.


I tend to think that d(a)emons and angels are the same beings, given names
based on whether we like them or not (similar to the ultimately relative
schema glossed over by the terms 'evil' and 'good').  ...I figure that we 
are all Children of the divine, no matter if demon or angel, and I will offer 
the love of the divine unto all comers.



I have *also* seen alot of benefit from 'inner plane' contacts, had them 
myself, and continue to have them in the form of my relationship with my 
HGA/goddess.  The contact is 'inner plane' in that I am the only one who 
experiences Her, yet the effect upon me is quite real, and I have verified 
to myself that I am not merely playing tricks with my own mind.  

Lest you think I bypass certain psychological explanations of any of this,
I have not ruled out the possibility that Kali is part of me.  In fact,
my most favorite tantric philosophy tells of the unity of Kali and Siva.
It is possible that the revelations She has shown me (largely insignificant
though convincing gestalts) were the result of a deep connection with my
subconscious mind.  I do not decide between gods and archetypes.  I just
run with the experience, sometimes describe it thereafter, and move on.
