Did you read my response to your suggestion? I don't employ complex
programs in my neuromechanism until I either have a very positive feeling
about them (and in the case of anything popularly Christian I am very
strongly biased against this) or can see that they will lead to beneficial
effects (which is also not the case with this Nicene Creed; quite the
contrary, actually).
'Here, attach these electrodes to your head, turn on the juice, and if it
doesn't do what you like it to, then we'll refund your money in total!'
Don't mind that you may set yourself back 30 years, permanently debilitate
your connection with your god, or compromise your ethics! Don't worry, be
happy! What can it harm??
Very many dictums and 'secrets' and teachings have come to me in just this
way: with a wrapper of ignorance for me to chew until I get sick of it and
toss it out, saving the candy and savoring its sweetness. But first I must
distinguish candy from wrapper!
