I just went and saw " Starship Troopers" with my son. Truthfully I can say it is nothing but War , Gore, and anemic plot of amore.

But all kidding aside, I begin to ponder, why the constant exposure to violence, graphic brutalities, etc.???

All in all I believe we are being prepared by some entities of control, for perhaps one of the darkness periods in the history of humankind's freedom. 

the continual brainwashing via Hollywood, and the Television networks, of violence, and brutality, is systematically di-sensitizing children and young adults as regards the experiencing of violent acts.

If anything the human soul when it lives in beauty and peace, is repulsed by violence, gore, body parts spewn and scattered bloodily all over small and large screens, guts spilled, arms legs severed by violent impacts, etc.etc.

What better way for those who profit from violence, and war to end run the natural instinct instilled in us by the gods to manifest compassion, virtue, kindness, understanding, then by cunningly using art to di-sensitize the heart to cruelity, and make it numb enough not to care when it encounters such as Gurdjieff once said " bestial acts of cruelity", and the "Mass Psychosis" he titled , war.

Make no wiseacring about it, we are being prepared for a blood bath again. We are allowing Hollywood, and the Networks, to instill in our children an enjoyment of violence. Violence as a form of entertainment is fit for warriors perhaps that must thru dramas of conflict have their minds and souls prepared for the defense of the community, or the enlargement of the sphere of power by acts of physical intimidation, and force.

Children are being addicted to the hormones that are ignited within their bodies by the viewing of violence, and vicariously participation of violence via " The Screen". Can this serve the purpose of peace, ???? or as it is supposed too, the purposes of those that profit from conflict???

Since Art is a potent factor in education, and in evoking within the souls of persons perceptions, that later are used to formulate opinions, and attitudes, than it is up to the citizens of a state or community to impose upon Art a responsibility, a social responsibility.

We have been so used to living in a violence orientated society, that humorously I believe , we would be uncomfortable living in a community of what would be perceived as "dull" peace.

Is it possible for a society to resolve its differences and disharmonies without resorting to conflict and brutal violence.??? 

Hesiod, the ancient poet , claimed that the human race would and could progress from its base state of civility by practicing  what he called " Kalon Eris"  good competition. conflict resolved thru games, such as the Olympics for example. Competitions that divert the violent nature of humankind into resolving differences by game, and ritual evolving to the use of art, and intelligence to overcome the brutal.

It would be a step in the right direction, if people would gather strength, and begin to put a stop to the moral degeneration of humankind, and the polluting of young minds by irresponsible art, that only sets up in innocent minds, not strong enough to cleanse themselves, the potentials of use by those that latter will ask them to perform on their behalf , using erroneous and libelous propaganda , acts of violence, and "authority blessed" wars against created enemies.

Those who by inheritance, their own efforts, chance, priviledge, or race are in the position of guides for the human race, and responsible indirectly now also for the existenze of all life forms on this planet have before them a gargantuan task. To easily give in to destructive conflict, or to swim against the stream, and to evolve humankind thru Art, Education, the expansion of intelligence, and instilling of moral virtue to a new stage of activity. A possibility to reap the rewards of happiness , and health that comes from harmony, and not disharmony.

Techno slavery is not the answer as many who in power now assume. The human race is an experiment in Freedom, and feeling, not slavery, and hypnotizm. As spirit beings assuming the human body we have taken upon ourselves the task of evolving this form and not to give in to those beings who have gone astray in their purpose, and consciousness. These others are using the fact of feeling and its negatives, pain and fear, as a means to manipulate and use. They are inhibiting the progress of the human mind and the evolution of the brain cells, by the process of hypnotism, and by employing devices to assist them in this mass control that benefits them and their kind. They are depriving humankind of the exhilaration that accompanies the growth of intelligence, and the demand for more freedom, and individuality that automatically comes with such progress.
