I just received a post from Jim Deal  that related
the result of a court-tried tax case. In that case a U.S. Attorney made the
statement:

	"The government is unable... to offer case authority... that a 
	citizen of the United States, working and residing in the United
	States... is liable for (income) taxation."

That seems to mean that 'voluntarily' we fill out Federal income tax
returns and pay the bill... UNDER THREAT OF GARNISHMENTS, SEIZURES, ETC.
But from the above admission by a U.S. Attorney we are able to go much,
much further and ask some extremely important questions.

First, if the IRS actually does NOT have statutory backing for its demand
on the citizenry for 'voluntarily-paid taxes' then it is acting on the
color of law alone. The IRS is saying, "Pay us or suffer the consequences,"
which is exactly what a big city mobster says to his 'clientele' when he
collects protection. The big city mobster has no legal RIGHT to collect
money from shop owners, AND therefore he is liable to criminal action. If
it is an organised protection racket then the mobsters are liable under the
RICO laws.

(But note that the mobster may actually give the shop owner protection
--against another competing mobster, of course--whereas the IRS gives the
'voluntary contributor' no protection whatsoever against all the other
predatory Federal government agencies.)

Authority is always opposed to the Rule of Law (the two, like oil and
water, don't mix at all) because all the neat little (and big) scams that
Authority can set up for its own aggrandizement can be undone under a Rule
of Law. This seems to be what the U.S. Attorney quoted above is saying...
'We don't have statutory law on our side but we ARE the Authority System,
and as such we are bigger and more powerful than the law. We don't really
NEED the law. The money flows generated by our threatening gestures and
actions are now codified de facto as what is right and true... and legal.'

But, if I interpret the situation correctly, under the LAW the IRS is
guilty of creating and maintaining not only a collosal scam but also an
illegal and fraudulent forced financial activity. Obtaining money under
false pretenses or by threats is punishable by long prison sentence. The
word 'conversion of funds' comes to mind. The only way that the IRS could
legalize its activity would be for it to send a clearly written notice to
each and every past taxpayer to the effect that it does NOT have statutory
authority to collect income taxes from U.S. citizens who work in one of the
states of the United States, and that any such funds collected are a purely
voluntary contribution to the Federal government of the United States.
(Even this statement would give rise to problems because then the IRS would
be obliged to be audited as a charitable organization and to spell out
exactly HOW the truly voluntarily-collected money was spend and dispursed.)

But it is exactly this point that must give us pause. HOW are these
illegally-obtained tax dollars spent? Are we to believe that ALL of these
billions of dollars are spent and disbursed in accordance with the laws of
the land, the basic tenets of the U.S. Constitution, and the moral concerns
of the contributors? How likely is it that an organization which does not
blanche at committing wholesale extortion upon American citizens will then,
all sweetness and light, spend this illegally-obtained money in a perfectly
legal manner? Can we all say "Zero probability?"

If a crime, such as extortion, is committed and the funds are used in an
illegal manner, possibly to kill thousands of people, poison people, do
socially undesirable scientific research, etc., then those who
involuntarily and under duress contribute to such illegal and socially
undesirable acts and deeds are still innocent of any accessory status AS
LONG AS THEY BELIEVE THAT THE 'TAXES' PAID ARE **LEGALLY** DUE TO BE PAID. 

But watch what happens when a person becomes AWARE of whatever illegal
activity he is connected to... Presto! He then at that moment becomes an
accessory to the crime! 

Can the Internet be accepted as a public announcement in due form?
Possibly. But it is chilling to realize that now the average American
citizen, who has become aware that the IRS has NO statutory authority
to demand income taxes from American workers, can become an accessory not
only to the IRS crime of extortion but also to whatever other crimes the
extorted money has financed. If we don't pay the 'voluntary' income tax we
may be wiped out financially (and how about the fine gentleman who finally
committed suicide as the only way out of his harrassment by IRS agents?
..could this be construed as 'constructive homicide?')

...and if we DO pay 'income taxes' we may now find ourselves before some
REAL court of LAW in the future as accessories to a monstruous crime
against society! 

Apparently we are damned if we do and damned if we don't.
