AREA 51 RESEARCH CENTER is a private research and publishing
company promoting openness and reasonable public oversight in
government. Currently, we are specializing in Federal land use
and rumored military projects in Southern Nevada. Although we are
a taxable entity, profit is not our goal. Our prices are intended
only to reimburse our costs and support our continued research.

AREA 51 VIEWER'S GUIDE
By Glenn Campbell. Milepost logs, maps and lots of practical
information for visitors in search of secret aircraft or UFOs on
Nevada Highway 375, just across the mountains from the Top Secret
Groom Lake base in Central Nevada. Reviews the stories associated
with the famous "Black Mailbox" and the military Black Budget.
Contains an extensive annotated bibliography for Bob Lazar, UFOs
and Secret Aircraft: all known print, audio and video references
(through Sept. 93) are included with many quotes. Edition 2.04
now available. (Updated on an irregular basis. Purchase of the
current guide entitles the reader to a discount on any future
editions.) 110 pages, spiral bound. $15.00. Post=book

TRANSCRIPT FOR BOB LAZAR AT THE ULTIMATE UFO SEMINAR
Complete verbatim record of Lazar's question-and-answer session at
a UFO conference held in Rachel, Nevada, May 1, 1993. Lazar is a

transcripts, recording Lazar's exact words but not authorized or
approved by him in any way. Includes footnotes and an index, plus
a report on attempts to locate Lazar's MIT professors. 27pp in
dense type, spiral bound. $8.00. Post=book

AREA 51 VEHICLE PASS
Official looking 4" by 5" vehicle decal with lots of intimidating
fine print. If Area 51 had a parking permit, this is what it
would look like. Put it on your car, and the guards will wave you
into the base, no questions asked. (No one has tried it yet!)
Red and black print on a white background: "Area 51/Groom Dry Lake
AFS, NV. Controlled Vehicle Access. Property of Officer of
Strategic Investigations (OSI), USAF. This vehicle subject to
search and seizure per USAF Regulation 345-12B... " $2.50.
Post=light

outline of saucer. 2-3/4" x 11". $2.50. Post=light

GROOM RANGE LAND SEIZURE NEWSCLIPPING PORTFOLIO (1984-1992)
As a courtesy to scholars and political activists interested in
the military's Groom Range land seizure of 1984, we have assembled
a portfolio of articles from Las Vegas newspapers regarding the
action, 1984 to 1992.  (Does not include current 1993 action;
these clippings may be assembled later as Part II.) Portfolio
consists of about 80 photocopied pages, spiral bound. $20.00
Post=book

GROOM RANGE ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT STATEMENT
This is the environmental report filed by the government to help
finalize their 1984 seizure of the Groom Range. Comes in two
separate volumes: The Draft report contains a good review of the
flora, fauna and geology of the area. The Final report is chiefly
a record of hearings and other responses to the draft report.
Each is 150pp., spiral bound, $20.00. Be sure to specify Draft or
Final. Post=book

GROOM LAKE PHOTOMURAL BY JAMES GOODALL
SOC is a sales agent for impressive mural-size panoramic prints of
the secret Groom Lake air base. This almost seamless sequence of
three photos was taken by renowned "Black Budget" aviation writer
James Goodall and is available with or without his autograph.
Earlier versions have been shown on national television and were
first printed internationally in Popular Science (March 1993, page
59). New 1993 panorama now avail-able in exquisite detail for den
or office. Richly colored winter morning shot with fine grain and
excellent definition, even in this huge blowup. Almost as
informative as Russian satellite photos costing many times more
and far more attractive. Giant size (almost 7 feet long): 18" x
82", $300 unmounted. Reduced size: 8" x 30", $90 unmounted or
$100 foam mount. Please specify if Goodall autograph desired, and
allow four weeks for processing. Post=std

GROOM LAKE CLOTH PATCH
Participants in aircraft develop-ment projects like the Stealth
fighter or military operations like Desert Storm always have a
cloth patch to commem-orate the event. The maligned workers at
Groom Lake are denied this opportunity because their operation is
supposed to be secret. As a service to them, we at SOC have
designed are own high-quality, 8-color cloth patch, the first of
its kind to commemorate Area 51 and its crew. Patch is a 4 inch
circle. "GROOM DRY LAKE TEST FACILITY" appears along the edge, in
red lettering on a black background. A scene in the center shows
a mystery plane taking off from the airstrip at sunset. $8.00.
Post=light

GROOM LAKE BASEBALL CAP
A black, all-cotton cap with the 3 inch version of the Groom Lake
patch attached to the front. One size fits all. $12.00. Post=std

NELLIS AIRCRAFT POSTCARD SET.
A set of ten 4"x6" color postcards of military aircraft associated
with Area 51 and the Nellis Range. Set includes B-2, SR-71 (both
above), F-117, U-2, F-16, F-15, A-10, B-52, F-4 and B-1.
$3.50*/set. (Individual cards of each aircraft are also available
for 50c* each.) Post=std

 ----- MAPS -----

GROOM LAKE/AREA 51 BASE MAPS
Set of three 19"x24" maps of the Groom Lake base at various
scales: 1"=400', 2"=1 mile, and 1:100,000. The maps are in "pseudo
blueline" style and are printed on high-quality 70 pound map
stock. Each map is approximately 19" by 25". The most detailed
map includes a list of buildings at the Groom Lake base, keyed to
the building numbers shown on the map itself. On this map, most
roads and buildings at the base are clearly identified. The maps
are sold only as a set of three for $20.00/set. Post=poster

USGS TOPOGRAPHIC MAPS
If you plan to visit the area, the following USGS 1:100,000 scale
topographic maps are of interest. $5.00 each. Folded. 24" x 42"
Post=std
--Pahranagat Range. Covers Groom and Papoose Lakes and Tikaboo
Valley.
--Timpahute Range. (North of Pahranagat Range.) Covers Rachel
and northern border of Area 51.
--Cactus Flat. (West of Timpahute Range). Tonopah Test Range and
sound end of Railroad Valley.
--Quinn Canyon Range. (North of Timpahute Range.)
--Pahute Mesa. (West of Pahranagat Range.) Northern half of
Nevada Test Site.

USGS SATELLITE IMAGE MAPS
Attractive, poster-size, color satellite images in the same scale
and covering the same areas as the 1:100,000 maps above. 24" x
42". $8.00 each. Shipped flat in a mailing tube. Post=poster
--Cactus Flat. Runways and buildings of the semi-secret Tonopah
Test Range are clearly visible.
--Pahute Mesa. Nuclear blast craters blanket the Yucca Valley.
The Pahute Mesa topographic map is printed on the reverse.

NEVADA GHOST TOWN MAP
Shows all major ghost towns and roads leading to them. 20" x 29".
$3.50. Post=poster (or post=std if shipping folded is okay)

----- TESTORS PLASTIC MODEL KITS -----

Designed by John Andrews, with help from a network of civilian
observers he calls his "Desert Rats." Kits do not include glue or
paints. All except the SR-71, U-2 and the saucer are at 1/72
scale, allowing size comparisons between models.

LAZAR SPACECRAFT MODEL
A flying saucer based on Bob Lazar's reports. Clear plastic shell
allows view of interior and propulsion system. 1/48 scale. 13"
diameter. $25.00 post=+$2

XR-7 THUNDER DART
This is the Testors name for the first commercial plastic model of
the Aurora spy plane, which may or may not exist. Many details
are speculative, but the triangular shape is widely accepted as
probable for a high speed aircraft like this. 1/72 scale, 13"
long. $9.00. post=2books

SR-75 PENETRATOR
Testors' version of the "Mothership." This plane has reportedly
been sighted near Edwards AFB and has been rumored to fly from
Groom. The shape suggests that it is used to launch another craft
carried on its back. Researchers are not certain what that second
craft is, but Testors has paired it with the X-7 Thunder Dart
above, which fits neatly on top. 1/72 scale, 26" long. $28.00.
post=+$2

PLASTIC MODEL CEMENT--7/8 oz. tube. $1.39.

 ----- PHOTOGRAPHS AND POSTER -----

BOB LAZAR FLYING SAUCER POSTER
This 22" x 34" poster features three schematic views of the "Sport
Model" flying saucer that Lazar says he worked on. In the
background is a Russian satellite image of the Papoose Lake area.
Produced by Lazar himself in conjunction with the release of the
Testor's S4 saucer model (1994). $15.00. Post=poster

UNITED STATES FREQUENCY ALLOCATION CHART
Color-coded wall chart, 31" x 48", shows graphically the
allocation of radio frequencies in the U.S., from 3 KHz to 300
GHz. (e.g. 54-74 MHz is TV channels 2-4.) Useful for scanner
buffs. Produced by U.S. Dept of Commerce. Folded $8.00. post=std

"AGENT X" PHOTOMURAL
A panoramic series of 7 shots of the Groom flightline and hangers,
taken with a 6" Celestron telescope by "Agent X," a frequent
visitor. Not as artistic as Goodall's photomural, but the detail
is better: Big hanger is 1" x 3" (vs. 0.5" x 1.5" for Goodall's).
These are legal-size 14" x 8.5" color photocopies which fit
together to form a panorama about 7 feet long. $50.00.
post=3books

"ECONOMY" GROOM PRINT
This photo of the Groom Base taken from Freedom Ridge does not
offer the detail of either the Goodall or Agent X murals, but the
price is easier to take. Available as a 8"x10" color print for
$5, or a 20"x30" photo poster for $20. (On the 20"x30" print, the
big hanger is 0.3" high.) Post=poster

AURORA--THE PENTAGON'S SECRET HYPERSONIC SPYPLANE
Book by Bill Sweetman. For a plane that the military insists does
not exist, the documentation is certainly extensive. Former
Jane's and Interavia journalist Sweetman lays out the evidence and
historical perspective leading to an inescapable con-clusion: It
can't not exist. This is the latest word on Aurora, pre-sumed to
be operating from Groom Lake. This book is also an excel-lent
reference on previous supersonic aircraft, the "ancestors" of
Aurora. 96 pages, softcover, Motorbooks, 1993. $9.95. Post=book

THE MUSHROOM CLOUD AND THE DOWNWINDERS
Textbook by Gurli Pendergrass and Lorelle Nelson. We stumbled
upon this gem in a local library and liked it so much we ordered
it directly from the publisher in Denmark. It's one of the best
books we've found on the above-ground testing at the Nevada Test
Site. Writ-ten for students of English, and thus concise and easy
to read, this book recalls the atomic era with a clarity not found
in the American press. As a bonus, sidebars translate difficult
English words into Danish. 72 pages, softcover. Forlaget
Futurum, 1987. $10.00. Post=book

 ----- VIDEO TAPE -----

THE LAZAR TAPE: EXCERPTS FROM THE GOVERNMENT BIBLE. The original
"Lazar Tape" video produced by Lazar and Gene Huff in 1990. Bob
Lazar offers a "science lesson" on flying saucer propulsion
systems, an account of his alleged experiences at top secret "Area
S-4" just south of Groom and a review of the briefing papers he
says he read concerning the alien presence. Be it fact or
fiction, Lazar's story is precise and logically constructed. His
account focuses on technical details of the craft he claims to
have worked on, not the aliens themselves. VHS, about 35 minutes.
