Greetings, all. The saga of Art Bell's supposed Roswell UFO crash wreckage
continues. There have been some recent developments some of you might be
interested in. As you may recall, several weeks ago, an anonymous source sent
radio talk show host Art Bell some metallic debris which he claimed was
wreckage from the Roswell area of New Mexico, circa 1947. The pieces were
mailed from someplace in South Carolina.

Some pieces of the debris are very strange indeed. Some jagged fragments about
a millimeter thick have now been examined in detail by an anonymous scientist
who was contacted by investigative journalist - and Art Bell cohort - Linda
Moulton Howe.

Ms. Howe reported on Sunday, the 7th of July, that initial testing of the
sample was completed. The piece of metallic debris was examined using a
technique called Wave Dispersive Spectroscopy. This technique allows precise
measurement of material thickness, elemental composition, and purity.

The sample just inpsected is made up of alternating layers of pure bismuth,
and a magnesium-zinc alloy. The bismuth layers are one to 4 micrometers
(microns) thick, while the mannesium-zinc layers are approximately 40 microns
thick. I am going on memory of the Mg-Zn thickness, as Ms. Howe did not re-
iterate this in her most recent report. The Mg-Zn layers vary in composition
from 95.5 to 97% magnesium and 2.5 to 3% zinc. There are approximately 50
layers of this alternating material.

Ms. Howe has contacted approximately 50 scientists, including those from
national laboratories, Sandia and Los Alamos included, as well as from private
industries such as Dow Chemical, who is a major supplier of bismuth, and even
the National Beaureau of Mines, in an attempt to identify what this layered
material could be. No one she has spoken with at these institutions was able
to shed any light as to the origin or possible function of such a material.

Until now...

Last week, on Sunday, June 30th, Ms. Howe was contacted by a person
identifying himself only as "Dan", who claimed to be a scientist. Dan and
Linda Howe then had several conversations regarding the strange, layered
material over the ensuing few days. Dan told Ms. Howe that he had been
recruited by the Air Force in 1973 for the specific purpose of reverse-
engineering "things of unknown origin". He said he did some "pretty exotic
stuff" in the time period of 1973 to 1980, while he worked at the Aeronautical
Systems Division at Wright-Patterson AFB in in Ohio. He also was assigned
occasionally to do similar work at Edwards AFB in California.

Dan was never told that what he was working on was from any kind of
extraterrestrial craft, and he only assumed that it was from foreign captured
military aircraft or something. But he did mention that in his work at Wright-
Pat, he was presented with a very similar material to that Art Bell was sent -
the layered magnesium/bismuth substance. He said that that particular material
"came in as an unknown, and went out as an unknown". However, he also
mentioned that he had seen bismuth metal used in a sort of Biefield-Brown
antigravity application (my association of terms). He guesses that what Art
Bell has, and what Linda Howe has been trying to research, is exactly that:
"an electrogravitic material". He went on to explain that bismuth is
diamagnetic, which means it "repels" a magnetic field (I need to do a little
research on diagmagnetics). He says that bismuth does "strange" things when
a "positive electron field" is applied... Positive electrons??? Electrons are
supposed to be negatively-charged, at least the ones I'm famillar with.

Anyway, Dan says that the application of very high voltages to layered bismuth
materials caused him to realize "dramatic findings". When Howe asked him what
the most dramatic result of these experiments were, he told her "mass and
weight loss - essentially, antigravity".

Then Howe asked him, "Did you ever see material rise into the air when subject
to a strong voltage?" To which he replied, quickly, " I can't talk about
that!"

Following Dan's contact on the phone with Linda Howe, on Friday afternoon, Dan
was visited at his home by "three DIA (Defense Inteligence Agency) officials
who arrived in a dark blue Chevrolet sedan. One stayed inside the vehicle,
while the other two came to his door and rang the bell. They showed official
DIA inentification, according to Dan, and asked if they could come in and talk
to him. So, he let them in.

The agents wanted to know if he had been in touch with any journalists
regarding "the work he did in the seventies". They then specifically mentioned
Linda Howe by name. He told them yes, but he had not discussed any "state
secrets". After very repetitive questioning, and some threats about how they
could "arrest him without a warrant", they left. During the questioning, the
layered magnesium/bismuth material was never mentioned. Dan says that it is as
if the agents had not been briefed on the exact nature of his discussions with
Linda Howe.

Dan then contacted Art Bell during his Friday (July 5th) radio program. Art
told him his best bet was to go public, since he was scared (a la Bob Lazar).
Art then put him on the air early Saturday morning, and he told his story to
the public.

Linda Howe said, on Sunday evening, that she had checked out his credentials.
Dan apparently has a Bachelor's Degree in Physics, in Aeronautical
Engineering, and in Computer Science, which he earned at Polytechnic State
University in California. He also has Master's Degrees in Computer Science and
Aerospace Engineering from the University of California at Berkely, and earned
a Ph.D. in physics in 1974 after he was already working for the Air Force. So,
on the surface, this guy LOOKS real...

Finally, it seems that Bell has received another communication from the source
of these materials recently. BTW, this source says that his grandfather was on
the recovery team in 1947, and was able to put some of the material in his
pockets, and leave the area undetected. The source's grandfather died
recently, and the material and a detailed diary which was stored in a closet
was dug out, and the material sent on to Art Bell. In this most recent
communication, Art was told that the layered material came from the "central
underside of the wedge-shaped disk", and that it "radiated light for a full
three hours". The source says that at the time of the recovery, it was
"speculated that the material was some type of shielding to enable the craft
and its crew to survive accelerated re-entry into the atmosphere when the
craft experiences uncontrolled descent". Linda Howe continued the speculation
by noting that if Bob Lazar's "Element 115" did really exist it would be
loacted on the periodic table directly under the element bismuth. She also
speculated that maybe what they have here is some "depleted Element 115", it
having become bismuth following some type of natural decay, the emission of
light perhaps being the indicator of said decay.

All for now, more if/when I hear anything.

Regards,

Chris
