My email has been only sporadic, 
almost completely non-existent, 
for the last week. 

I have changed servers, starting yesterday, 
and the email is working again 
but my web pages will be down for a few days 
until I get them back up on the new server.

Attached is another photo link with which I am greatly impressed.

each week (and almost every day).

It has been over two weeks since I last wrote -
which for the last while has been my frequency. 
The pace of events has remained constant during that time -
slow, 
but constant. 
Like watching a pot come to a boil.

Killings each day in Palestine/Israel. 
Some days a few more than others. 
Daily increase in fortifications 
and security. 
It cannot go on indefinitely this way. 
The regular troops have become exhausted - 
and the reserves (like the National Guard) 
have been called up more and more 
for longer periods of time. 
Something will have to eventually give - 
and will. 

Yesterday and today - 
Saddam publicly announced that he is starting to train 
(supposedly a several million) Israel invasion force.
Actually only thousands were called to training camp yesterday and today, 
but even then - 
one cannot maintain such a heightened level of tension 
even there 
and not use it - 
or eventually it becomes like the boy crying wolf. 
The response won't be there when he really wants it. 
Oh, he REALLY wants to go right NOW, 
but circumstances may not permit it. 

Sharon meeting with Bush late this week - 
and a BIG Arab meeting taking place on the 27th. 
The latter are quite upset about Colin Powell 
restating the US Embassy will eventually move to Jerusalem. 
When? 
He should say - 
within 6 months after the Israeli Knesset moves there. 
Put the ball in THEIR court -
and stop being hassled about it. 
If it ever DOES occur - 
then the fat will be in the fire 
but it probably will be anyway 
long before then.

Moslems are really upset with the world - 
but then - 
some of the world is really upset with the Moslems. 
I must be travelling in the wrong circles - 
because I don't hear any loud outcry from Moderate Moslems 
about the Taliban destroying the centuries old Buddhist Statues. 

Moslems feel that it is EVIL to make a statue of a man 
because man is made in the image and likeness of God 
and so one is in effect making a statue of God. 
There is a double evil - 
if they feel that it is an idol that is being worshipped. 

If some of them had their way - 
the would go into every catholic church 
and destroy every statue of Jesus and Mary. 
Next - 
on to the Louvre and destroy all the paintings of the Old Masters.

Orthodox Moslem art - 
rugs, wall hangings, tile inlays, and so forth 
does not include human images.
That is okay - 
but it does lead for a clash of cultures 
when they are not tolerant of others. 

Extremists on the other side, 
want NO limits put on free artistic expression - 
and thus in New York there has been a recent battle 
about the profaning of the image of Jesus, 
and we see the battle continuously in regards to pornography, 
pedophilia, and homosexuality - 
in every facet of public media.

The sophisticates in Western Society 
do not have sympathy for the concern about morality 
that is now deeply felt by a relatively small minority 
at the grass roots level - 
but these things change. 
I expect the pendulum to swing - 
(after humanity experiences what they will take to be God's Wrath) 
and values will again become more Victorian 
than the Victorians ever were.

Not into preaching. 
Just observing. 
While I see all this as being interconnected - 
others will feel that it has nothing to do with 
the geo-political issues - 
with which I usually deal, 
so I will stop here.
