Earth in Upheaval,  pp 227-229,  Extinction

Many forms of life, many species and genera of animals that lived on this
planet in a recent geological period, in the age of man, have utterly
disappeared without leaving a single survivor.  Mammals walked in fields and
forests, propagated and multiplied, and then without a sign of degeneration
vanished.  A considerable group have become extinct virtually within the last
few thousand years.

The large mammals that died out in America include all the camels, all the
horses, all the ground sloths, two genera of musk-oxen, peccaries, certain
antelopes, a giant bison with a horn spread of six feet, a giant beaverlike
animal, a stag-moose, and several kinds of cats, some of which were of lion
size.

Animals, strong and vigorous, suddenly died out without leaving a survivor.
The end came, not in the course of the struggle for existence - with the
survival of the fittest.  Fit and unfit, and mostly fit, old and young, with
sharp teeth, with strong muscles, with fleet legs, and plenty of food around,
all perished.  They died as if a wind had snuffed life out of all of them,
leaving their cadavers, with no sign of degeneration, in asphalt pits, in
bogs, in sediment, and in caverns.

But along the coast of Nova Scotia and New England stumps of trees stand in
water, telling of once forested country that (has since become) submerged.
And opposite the mouths of the St. Lawrence and the Hudson rivers are deep
(land) canyons stretching for hundreds of miles into the ocean.  These
indicate that the land (has become) sea, being depressed in post-glacial
times.  Then did both processes go on simultaneously, in neighboring areas,
here up, there down?

If the eruption of a single volcano can darken the atmosphere over the entire
globe, a simultaneous and prolonged eruption of thousands of volcanoes would
blacken the sky.  Volcanoes vomit water vapor as well as cinders.
Following the cataclysm, the author of Codex Chimalpopoca, in his history of
the suns, shows us terrifying celestial phenomena .. followed by darkness
that covered the face of the earth, in one instance for a period of 25 years.

In the Ermitage Papyrus in Leningrad .. there are lamantations about a
terrible catastrophe, when heaven and earth turned upside down.  After this
catastrophe darkness covered the earth.  The "shadow of death" is related to
the time of the wandering in the desert after the Exodus from Egypt.  The
sinister meaning of the words "shadow of death" corresponds with the
description of the Ermitage Papyrus: "None can live when the sun is veiled by
clouds."

The phenomenon of gloom enduring for years impressed itself on the memory of
the Twelve Tribes and is mentioned in many passages in the Bible.  Psalms
44:19 - "The people that walked in darkness .. in the land of the shadow of
death."

The 12th Planet,  pp 401-409,  When the Gods Fled From Earth

Drilling into the Arctic and Antarctic ice sheets, scientists have been able
to measure the oxygen trapped in the various layers, and to judge from that
the climate that prevailed millennia ago.  Core samples from the bottoms of
the seas, such as the Gulf of Mexico, measuring the proliferation or
dwindling of marine life, likewise enabled them to estimate temperatures in
ages past.  The last ice age ended in the southern hemisphere some 12 to 13
thousand years ago.

The text uncovered by Ebling provided calendarial information.  The Deluge,
it informs us, occurred in the age of the constellation Lion.  Although
astronomers nowadays cannot precisely ascertain where the Summarians set the
beginning of a zodiacal house, the following timetable for the ages is
considered accurate.  The Age of the Lion ended in 8,700 BC.


Dr. John T. Hollin of the University of Main contended that the Antarctic ice
sheet periodically breaks loose and slips into the sea, creating an abrupt
and enormous tidal wave.  An immense tidal wave, starting in Antarctic
waters, spread northward toward the Atlantic, Pacific, and Indian oceans.
The abrupt change in temperature must have created violent storms accompanied
by torrents of rain.  Moving faster than the waters, the storms, clouds, and
darkened skys heralded the avalanche of waters.

Exactly such phenomena are described in the ancient texts.  The Epic of
Gilgamesh reads:

With the glow of dawn a black cloud arose from the horizon,
        inside it the god of storms thundered.
Everything that had been bright turned to blackness.
For one day the south storm blew, gathering speed as it blew,
        submerging the mountains.
6 days and 6 nights blows the wind as the South Storm sweeps the land.
When the 7th day arrived, the Deluge of the South Storm subsided.

How could the extraterrestrials predict when the Deluge would burst out of
Antarctica?  The Mesopotamian texts, we know, relate the Deluge and the
climatic changes preceding it to the periodic passage of the 12th Planet in
Earth's vicinity.

The day itself was described by the Old Testament as a time of rains,
inundations, and earthquakes.  If we think of the biblical passages as
referring, like their Mesopotamian counterparts, to the passage in Earth's
vicinity of a large planet with a strong gravitational pull, the words of
Isaiah can be plainly understood.

From a far away land they came, from the end-point of Heaven
        do the Lord and his weapons of wrath come to destroy the whole Earth.
Therefore will I agitate the Heaven and Earth shall be shaken out of its
place.
        when the Lord of Hosts shall be crossing, the day of his burning wrath.

The prophet Amos explicitly predicted:

It shall come to pass on that Day, sayeth the Lord God,
        and I will cause the Sun to go down at noon
        and I will darken the Earth in the midst of daytime.

The prophet Zechariah informed the people that this phenomenon of an arrest
in Earth's spin around its own axis would last only one day:

And it shall come to pass on that Day that there shall be no light
        uncommonly shall it freeze.
And there shall be one day, known to the Lord,
        which there shall be neither day or night.

(A) story is told about Joshua ben Num who, when pursuing the Canaanite kings
at Beth-horon, implored the sun and the moon to stand still. Joshua
(10:12-13):

And the sun stood still, and the moon stayed, until the people had avenged
themselves upon their enemies.  Is it not written in the book of Jasher?  So
the sun stood still in the midst of heaven, and hasted not to go down about a
whole day.

Worlds in Collision,  pp 45-46,  On the Other Side of the Ocean

The Book of Joshua, compiled from the more ancient Book of Jasher, states
that the sun stood still over Gibeon and the moon over the valley of Ajalon.
This description of the position of the luminaries implies that the sun was
in the forenoon position.  The Book of Joshua says that the luminaries stood
in the midst of the sky.  Allowing for the difference in longitude, it must
have been early morning or night in the Western Hemisphere.

We go to the shelf where stand books with the historical traditions of the
aborigines of Central America.  The sailors of Columbus and Cortes, arriving
in America, found there literate peoples who had books of their own.  In the
Mexican Annals of Cuauhtitlan, written in Nahua-Indian, it is related that
during a cosmic catastrophe that occurred in the remote past, the night did
not end for a long time.


Sahagun, the Spanish savant who came to America a generation after Columbus
and gathered the traditions of the aborigines, wrote that at the time of one
cosmic catastrophe the sun rose only a little way over the horizon and
remained there without moving.  The moon also stood still.  The biblical
stories were not know to the aborigines.  Also, the tradition preserved by
Sahagun bears no trace of having been introduced by the missionaries.

Crude petroleum is composed of two elements, carbon and hydrogen.  The
inorganic theory (of the origin of petroleum states that) hydrogen and carbon
were brought together in the rock formations of the earth under great heat
and pressure.  The tails of comets are composed mainly of carbon and hydrogen
gases.  Lacking oxygen, they do not burn in flight, but the inflammable
gases, passing through an atmosphere containing oxygen, will be set on fire,
binding all the oxygen available at the moment.  The descent of a sticky
fluid which came earthward and blazed with heavy smoke is recalled in the
oral and written traditions of the inhabitants of both hemispheres.

Popol-Vuh, the sacred book of the Mayas, narrates "People were drowned in a
sticky substance raining from the sky .. and then there was a great din of
fire above their heads".  The entire population of the land was annihilated.
A similar account is preserved in the Annals of Cuauhtitlan.  The age which
ended in the rain of fire was called "the sun of fire-rain"

In Siberia, the Voguls carried down through the centuries and millennia this
memory.  "God sent a sea of fire upon the earth.  In the East Indies, the
aboriginal tribes relate that in the remote past "water of fire" rained from
the sky.  With very few exceptions, all men died.  The (Egyptian) papyrus
Ipuwer describes this consuming fire.  "Gates, columns, and walls are
consumed by fire.  The sky is in confusion".  The papyrus says that this fire
almost exterminated mankind.

The reason why the Israelite were more fortunate than the Egyptians probably
lies in the kind of material of which their dwellings were constructed.
Occupying a marshy district and working on clay, the captives must have lived
in huts made of clay and reeds, which are more resilient than brick and
stone.  In Mexican annals, during a catastrophe accompanied by hurricane and
earthquake, only the people who lived in small log cabins remained uninjured.
The larger buildings were swept away.  They found that those who lived in
small houses had escaped, as well as the newly married couples, whose custom
it was to live for a few years in cabins in front of those of their
fathers-in-law.

Exodus (12:29) states "Forsooth.  The children of princes are dashed against
the walls .. the children of princes are cast out in the streets".  The
population fled.  Ipuwer wrote "Men flee .. tents are what they make, like
the dwellers of hills".  The population of a city destroyed by an earthquake
usually spends the nights in the fields.

This happened on the night of the 14th of the month of Aviv.  (Exodus 12:6
and 13:4)  This is the night of Passover, as the Israelites originally
celebrated Passover on the eve of the 14th of Aviv.  (Where) the Hebrews
counted, and still count, the beginning of the day from sunset, the Egyptians
reckoned from sunrise.  For the Egyptians it was the 13th day.  Here we have
the answer to the open question concerning the origin of the superstition
which regards the number 13, and especially the 13th day, as unlucky and
inauspicious.  (There is no) record of this belief found dating from before
the Exodus.

The slowing down or stasis of the earth in its rotation would cause a tidal
recession of water toward the poles, but the celestial body near by would
disturb this poleward recession, drawing the water toward itself.  The
traditions of many peoples persist that seas were torn apart and their water
heaped high and thrown upon the continents.

The traditions of the people of Peru tell that for a period of time the sun
was not in the sky, and then the ocean left the shore and with a terrible din
broke over the continent.  The Choctaw Indians of Oklahoma relate: "The earth
was plunged in darkness for a long time".  Finally a dark light appeared in
the north, "but it was mountain-high waves, rapidly coming nearer". According
to the Lapland epic, after the sea-wall fell on the continent, gigantic waves
continued to roll and dead bodies were dashed about in the dark waters.

The Hebrew story of the passage of the sea (relates that) the bottom of the
sea was uncovered, the waters were driven apart and heaped up like walls in a
double tide.  The Sepuagint translation of the Bible says that the water
stood "as a wall", and the Koran, referring to this event, says "like
mountains".  In the old rabbinical literature it is said that the water was
suspended as if it were "Glass, solid and massive".

Our planet rotates from west to east.  Has it always done so?  There is
testimony from all parts of the world that the side which is now turned
toward the evening once faced the morning.   The Egyptians pride themselves
on being the most ancient people in the world.  In their authentic annals ..
one may read that .. the course of the stars has changed direction .. and
that the sun has set in that part of the sky where it rises today.  In the
Papyrus Ipuwer it is similarly stated that "the land turns round as does a
potter's wheel" and "the Earth turns over".

Plato wrote in his dialogue: "At certain periods the universe has its present
circular motion, and at other periods it revolves in the reverse direction."
Plato wrote in Politicus: "There is at that time great destruction of animals
in general, and only a small part of the human race survives".  The Chinese
say that it is only since a new order of things has come about that the stars
move from east to west.  The signs of the Chinese zodiac have the strange
peculiarity of proceeding in a retrograde direction, that is, against the
course of the sun.  The Eskimos of Greenland told missionaries that in an
ancient time the earth turned over.

It is possible to detect in the geological records of the earth the
orientation of the terrestrial magnetic field in past ages.  When lava cools
and freezes following a volcanic outburst, it takes up a permanent
magnetization dependent upon the orientation of the Earth's magnetic field at
the time.  The reversed polarity of lava indicates that in recent geological
times the magnetic poles of the globe were reversed.

The Florida fossil beds at Vero and Melbourne proved - by the artifacts found
there together with human bones and the remains of animals, many of which are
extinct - that these fossil beds were deposited between 2,000 and 4,000 years
ago.  From observations on beaches in numerous places all over the world,
Daly concluded that there was a change in the ocean level, which dropped
sixteen to twenty feet 3,500 years ago.  Kuenen and others confirmed Daly's
findings with evidence derived from Europe.


Earth in Upheaval,  pp 14 & 74 & 180,  Sea and Land Changed Places

(Cuvier) found in the gypsum deposits in the suburbs of Paris marine
limestone containing over eight hundred species of shells, all of them
marine.  Under this limestone there is another - fresh water - deposit formed
of clay.  Much of France was once under sea;  then is was land, populated by
land reptiles;  then it became sea again and was populated by marine animals;
then it was land again, inhabited by mammals.  And as it was on the site of
Paris, so it was in other parts of France, and in other countries of Europe.

The Himalayas, highest mountains in the world, rise like a thousand mile long
wall north of India.  Many of its peaks tower over 20,000 feet, Mount Everest
reaching 29,000 feet.  Scientists of the nineteenth century were dismayed to
find that, as high as they climbed, the rocks of the massifs yielded
skeletons of marine animals, fish that swim in the ocean, and shells of
mollusks.  This was evidence that the Himalayas had risen from beneath the
sea.

In many places of the world the seacoast shows either submerged or raised
beaches.  The previous surf line is seen on the rock of raised beaches; where
the coast became submerged, the earlier water line is found chiseled by the
surf in the rock below the present level of the sea.  In the case of the
Pacific coast of Chile Charles Darwin observed that the beach must have risen
1300 feet only recently - within the period during which upraised shells have
remained undecayed on the surface.

Worlds in Collision,  pp 67-69,  The Hurricane

Manuscript Troano and other documents of the Mayas describe a cosmic
catastrophe during which the ocean fell on the continent, and a terrible
hurricane swept the earth.  The hurricane broke up and carried away all towns
and all forests.  A wild tornado moved through the debris descending from the
sky.  The end of the world was brought by Hurakan.  From this name is derived
hurricane, the word we use for a strong wind.

The theme of the cosmic hurricane is reiterated time and again in the Hindu
Vedas and in the Persian Avesta.  The 11th tablet of the Epic of Gilgamesh
says that 6 days and a night the hurricane, deluge, and tempest continued
sweeping the land and mankind perished almost altogether.  The Maoris narrate
that amid a stupendous catastrophe the mighty winds, the fierce squalls, the
clouds, dense, dark, fiery, wildly drifting, wildly bursting, rushed on
creation, ... and swept away giant forests and lashed the waters into billows
whose crests rose high like mountains.

The Polynesians celebrate a god, Taafanua.  In Arabic, Tyfoon is a whirlwind
and Tufan is the Deluge;  and the same word occurs in Chinese as Ty-fong.  It
appears as though the noise of the hurricane was .. not unlike the name
Typhon.

The Mexican sacred book, Popol-Vuh, the Manuscript Cakchiquel, the Manuscript
Troano all record how the mountains in every part of the Western Hemisphere
simultaneously gushed lava.

(These) events are narrated in the Scriptures.

The mountain shake with the swelling .. the earth melted.
Clouds and darkness .. fire .. the earth saw and trembled,
        The hills melted like wax.
He looketh on the earth and it trembleth,
        He toucheth the hills, and they smoke.
The earth trembled .. the mountains melted .. even that Sinai.
He rebuketh the sea, and maketh it dry,
        and dryeth up all the rivers.

The rivers steamed, and even the bottom of the sea boiled here and there.
The Zend-Avesta says "The sea boiled, all the shores of the ocean boiled, all
the middle of it boiled".


The traditions of the Indians (also) retain the memory of this boiling of the
water in river and sea.  The tribes of British Columbia tell:  "Great clouds
appeared .. and such a great heat came, that finally the water boiled.
People jumped into the streams and lakes to cool themselves, and died".  On
the North Pacific coast of America the tribes insist that the ocean boiled:
"It grew very hot .. many animals jumped into the water to save themselves,
but the water began to boil".  The Indians of the Southern Ute tribe in
Colorado record in their legends that the rivers boiled.

Jewish tradition, as preserved in the rabbinical sources, declares that the
mire at the bottom of the Sea of Passage was heated.  Hesiod in his Theogony,
relating the upheaval caused by a celestial collision, says:  "The huge earth
groaned .. A great part of the huge earth was scorched by the terrible vapor
and melted as tin melts when heated by man's art .. or as iron, which is
hardest of all things, is softened by glowing fire in mountain glens".

Earth in Upheaval,  pp 98,  The Carolina Bays

Peculiar elliptical depressions, or oval craters, locally called bays, are
thickly scattered over the Carolina coast of the United States and more
sparsely over the entire Atlantic coastal plain from southern New Jersey to
northeastern Florida.  These marshy depressions are numbered in the tens of
thousands and, according to the latest estimate, their number may reach half
a million.  The larger bays average 2,200 feet in length, and in single cases
exceed 8,000 feet.  A remarkable feature of these depressions is their
parallelism:  the long axis of each of them extends from northwest to
southeast.  These oval depressions may be seen especially well in aerial
photographs.  The swarm of meteorites must have been large enough to hit an
area from Florida to new Jersey.

The bottom of the seas and oceans also contains evidence that the earth was
showered with meteorites on a very large scale.  In many places the bottom
consists of red clay.  Samples of the red clay from the central Pacific
showed a surprisingly high content of nickel and also a high content of
radium, though the water of the ocean is almost completely free of these
elements.  The clay is red because it contains ferruginous (iron) compounds.
Meteoric iron differs from iron of terrestrial origin in its admixture of
nickel.  Nickel is a very rare element in most terrestrial rocks and
continental sediments, and it is almost absent from the ocean waters.  On the
other hand, it is one of the main components of meteorites.

Following the red dust, a small dust, like ashes of the furnace fell in all
the land of Egypt (Exodus 9:18), and then a shower of meteorites flew toward
the earth.  We are informed by Midrashic and Talmudic sources that the stones
which fell on Egypt were hot.  Ipuwer wrote: "Trees are destroyed.  No
fruits, no herbs are found.  Grain has perished on every side".  In the Book
of Exodus (9:25) it is written: "And the hail smote every herb of the field,
and brake every tree of the field".

The description of such a catastrophe is found in the Visuddhi-Magga, a
Buddhist text on the world cycles.  "When a world cycle is destroyed by wind
.. there arises  .. a wind.  First it raises a fine dust, then coarse dust,
then fine sand, then coarse sand, then grit, stones, up to boulders as large
as trees.  The Mexican Annals of Cuauhtitlan describe how a cosmic
catastrophe was accompanied by a hail of stones.

In what way did this veil of gloom dissolve itself?  Has any testimony been
preserved that during the many years of gloom carbohydrate precipitated?
After the nightly cooling, the carbohydrates precipitated and fell with the
morning dew.  It had an oily taste like honeycomb, and was ground between
stones and baked in pans.  The clouds brought the heavenly bread, it is also
said in the Talmud.

There was a world fire, says the Icelandic tradition, followed by the
Fimbul-winter, and only one human pair remained alive in the north.  They fed
on morning dew, and from (this pair) come the folk who people the renewed
earth.

The Maoris of New Zealand tell of fiery winds and fierce clouds that lashed
the waters into tidal waves that touched the sky and were accompanied by
furious hailstorms.  The ocean fled.  The progeny of the storm and hail were
"Mist, the Heavy dew and Light dew".

The Greeks called the heavenly bread ambrosia.  It is described by the Greek
poets in identical terms with manna:  it had the taste of honey and a
fragrance.  The Atharva-Veda hymns say that honey-lash came down from fire
and wind;  ambrosia fell, and streams of honey flowed upon the earth.  The
grains also fell upon the water, and the rivers became milky in appearance
(i.e. lands of milk and honey).

the "great dog" to be Sirus, part of a binary star system.  (Its) invisible
companion, Sirus-B, is a dark star.

A great star will burn seven days,
A (cosmic) cloud will make the sun appear double.

The history of Egypt reaches back to hoary antiquity;  the Jewish people
(have ) a history that claims to describe the very beginning of (their)
nation's march through the centuries.  They bore the yoke of bondage (in
Egypt).  Historians have agreed that (their) Exodus took place during the
period called .. the New Kingdom of Egypt. ... The beginning of the New
Kingdom is established to have been about 1580 B.C.

The (Egyptian) papyrus containing the words of Ipuwer ... according to its
first possessor, Anastasi, was found in the neighborhood of the pyramids of
Saqqara.  In 1909 the text was published by Alan H. Gardiner.  The text
points to the historical character of the situation.  Egypt was in distress;
the social system had become disorganized;  violence filled the land.
Invaders preyed upon the defenseless population;  the rich were stripped of
everything and slept in the open, and the poor took their possessions. ...

There was no longer any royal power in Egypt.  In the following weeks the
cities turned into scenes of looting.  Justice ceased to function.  The
catastrophe that rendered Egypt defenseless was a signal to the tribes of the
Arabian desert.  The Egyptians did not defend themselves.

6:9     Forsooth, the laws of the judgment-hall are cast forth.  Men walk
                                upon them in the public places.
6:7     Forsooth, public offices are opened and their census-lists are taken
                                away.
10:3    The storehouse of the king is the common property of everyone.
10:3-6  Lower Egypt weeps.  The entire palace is without its revenues.  To
                                it belong (by right) wheat and barley, geese and fish.
14:11   There are none found to stand and protect themselves.

Pillagers completed the destruction, killing and raping.  Ipuwer describes:

Behold, he who slept without a wife through want finds precious things.
He who passed the night in squalor (raised his head).
She who looked at her face in the water is possessor of a mirror.

Behold, no craftsmen work.

A man strikes his brother, the son of his mother.
Men sit behind bushes until the benighted (traveler) comes, in order to
plunder his burden.

(An address before the graduate college forum of Princeton University on
October 14, 1953.)

In the fields of archaeology, geology, and astronomy the last few years have
brought a vast array of facts to corroborate the claims made in Worlds in
Collision that there were physical upheavals of a global character in
historical times;  that these catastrophes were caused by extraterrestrial
agents;  and that the nature of these agents may be identified.  What I want
to impress upon you is that science today, as in the days of Newton, lies
before us as a great uncharted ocean, and we have not yet sailed very far
from the coast of ignorance.

Don't be afraid to fact facts, and never lose your ability to ask the
questions: Why? and How?  Be in this like a child.  Don't be afraid of
ridicule;  think of the history of all great discoveries.  I quote Alfred
North Whitehead:  "If you have had your attention directed to the novelties
of thought in your own lifetime, you will have observed that almost all
really new ideas have a certain aspect of foolishness when they are first
produced."


Therefore, dare.

Persist if you see the facts gathering on your side.  It may be that even the
strongest opposition, that of figures will crumble before the fact.  The
greatest mathematician who ever walked on these shores, Simon Newcomb, proved
in 1903 that a flying machine carrying a pilot is a mathematical
impossibility.  In the same year of 1903 the Wright brothers, without
mathematics, but by a fact, proved him wrong.  The truth of today was the
heresy if yesterday.

Mary's Message to the World,  pp 2-3,  The Coming Changes

As the world turns and changes direction, many natural occurrences will be
deemed disasters.  Mountains will move, seas will be upturned;  new lands
will come out of the ocean, some of the land which is now inhabited will be
inundated and returned to the ocean floor to be allowed to renew.  These
natural disasters have already started, but in the future they will occur
more often and with increasing violence.

It will be in these years (1993 an on) that some of the aliens will suddenly
appear to your world leaders and offer help.  It will be as if the Angel of
the Lord had come to help.  But surely you who have the knowledge beforehand
will see the workings of the whole Universe to save mankind.

With a new attitude, your world leaders will be ready to hear of ways to save
the populations and of the coming turning of the Earth.  The
extraterrestrials, as you call them, will be of much help, but still your
leaders will not want to give any hint that these negotiations are
transpiring.

If the Guides are correct .. the survivors of the axial shift .. will number
in the millions, rather than the billions.  ... The shift will have its
warnings.  The weather will become increasingly violent.  Eruptions of
ancient volcanoes, earth tremors of major proportions, and tidal waves of
monumental scope.  ... Some will recognize this as the time to remove
themselves from the seacoasts.  Some will remain, disbelieving that a shift
will occur, and some will refuse to leave their homes.

The event itself will occur in the twinkling of an eye, as the earth slurps
onto its side.  In daylight areas, the sun will seem to stand still overhead.
Those who are capable of reaching safety will see the earth's surface
tremble, shudder, and in some places become a sea of boiling water as the
oceans pour upon the land. ... Picture a giant wave, higher than a ten story
building, racing toward shore.  Ferocious winds will howl across the land.
The stars will seem to swing giddily in the heavens.  As dawn breaks the sun
will seemingly rise from the wrong place on the horizon.

Millions of earthlings will survive the shift in physical body.   What you
earthlings term civilization will diminish as the earth changes wipe out the
hydroelectric plants, the housing developments, the palaces, and the
tenements,

We are not going to pinpoint the areas for people to flee to at this time.
Naming them now would cause the misfits and unharmonious ones to flock there,
whereas the good-at-heart would be too sensible to disrupt their households
by moving there now.  These will be mostly inland, away from the ferocity of
the seas, and valleys between rolling hills will have protection from the
high gale winds.

Some are seeding grounds which they sense will be safe areas of the world.
They are planting fruit and nut trees, and will be storing grain against
future needs.  A number of cooperative groups and communes have formed
because the members know that a major change is to occur on Planet Earth.  If
freeloaders try to attach themselves to those who have worked and prepared,
they should be put to work or sent on their way.


Mary's Message to the World,  pp 162-170,  The Aftertime

Man will change drastically.  He will evolve into a new species. .. Man will
evolve into a more mental being.  He will have better use of his psychic
abilities.

In the early days of the aftertime there will be much moisture in the air.
With ash and dust in the atmosphere there will be many days with no sun.  The
growing seasons will be turned around and plants will grow slowly at first.
Then, as the moisture gives way to the regulation of climate, there will
commence a new growing season.  In the first days, as the lands settle and
rearrange themselves, there will be turmoil and distress among men.

There will be safe places on earth.  There will be pockets of technology left
intact.  In these safe areas will be food, clean water and shelter.  As there
will be pockets of technology left intact, much of what is good in the world
today will survive.  Today's technology will be the seed for future
technology.

There will be communications with other planets.  The beings from other
planets will bring much knowledge to you in the healing arts.  In the
beginning days of the aftertime, beings from other planets will be a great
help to mankind.  The beings of other planets will take the technology left
from this era, and teach you how to improve it.  They will help you find new
forms of energy for locomotion, lighting, communicating and for healing.
This will be a time of new beginnings.
