HI! Some of you will recognize this poem as Moment Of Silence that I
wrote in 1989. All is the same except that every other last
sentence is changed into another poem...Deliverance. May 1995.
***Deliverance***
How many tears before you're convinced
The world is getting much too intense?
So many wars of blood and nonsense,
See the Power of the Prayer For Deliverance.
Mother Earth is claiming negligence
Because you find it's an expense.
Though cost will be higher with the Final Rinse.
Hear the Power of the Moment Of Silence.
Politicians are destroying all evidence;
Evangelists are displaying false innocence,
And radicals forgetting to use commonsense.
Hear the Power of the Prayer Of Deliverance.
Deforestation makes no sense
Without trees; what a difference!
You wouldn't like the consequence.
Hear the Power of the Moment Of Silence.
As walls fall we find pestilence.
Leaders merely show pretense,
Hoping people will stay nescience.
Know the Power of the Prayer Of Deliverance.
Look to the sky for Divine providence;
Find New Love, and Crown the Prince.
Change the world with belevolence.
Hear the Power of the Moment Of Silence.
