Letters of Atlantis

Correspondence between Erik Funderburk,
and myself.

Erik:  Many of your accounts of the fall
of Atlantis seem to jive pretty well with
Charles Pellegrino's findings.

Sandy: I guess I am in good company, eh?
I wish I could say that I knew of Charles
Pellegrino's findings, however, I can't,
because I didn't (and don't) know of them!

I am not a student of, nor have I ever
taken any classes in Ancient History or
Ancient Civilizations. I just have an avid
interest in the subject, possibly and most
probably, from past life experiences.

Erik: Given the high technology you have
impressions of, do you feel it's likely
that Atlantis was a UFO colony of some sort?

Sandy:  Yes, I feel that the continent of
Atlantis was a UFO "colony."  I also feel
that "Adam and Eve" may be symbolic of the
people who were left in The Garden of Eden
(Atlantis) to colonize, not only the
continent of Atlantis, but also the other
continents on Earth, possibly brought here
by the "Numos" (messengers) from beyond The
Dark Star, or brought here by some other highly
advanced civilization. There is more than
one highly advanced civilization!

The visitors of whom I speak, are not the
same as the ones who are conducting
examinations on us.

Erik:  After all, the rest of the world was
still fighting with sticks and stones while
the Atlanteans had (according to John's
account of Mr. Pellegrino's findings) running
water, heat, and indoor plumbing! Your
accounts suggest even higher technology than
ours!

Sandy:  I feel that the Continent of Atlantis
predates the fighting with sticks and stones,
and yes, my account suggests even higher
technology than ours, in fact, the
technology that existed in Atlantis makes
our present day technology look as if we
are playing with blocks! Granted, we have
come a long way in the past 100 years, but
what if we had thousands or hundred of
thousands or millions of years to develop
our technology?  As I have said before,
I believe that all of our discoveries"
are ancient rediscoveries!

Erik:  One of the provocative aspects of
the theories about Atlantis spanning the
bulk of the Atlantic ocean is the commonalty
between cultures so remote from one another.
But that is a different subject .

Perhaps mankind is entering a second
technological age and Atlantis was the last
vestige of the first age. I just feel
strongly that there must be a connection
between UFO's and Atlantis and I'm
wondering if the increase in UFO reports is
because they've not heard from us in so long
and are trying to figure out what happened
to the Utopia that earth once was.

Sandy:  Before the denotation of our first
Nuclear Bomb, they were visiting us on a
regular basis, monitoring or tracking us.
They have always known what happened to
Atlantis, but ever since the bomb, their
visits have greatly increased because they
do not want the same thing that happened to
Atlantis, to happen to the remaining
inhabitants of Earth, as we appear to be
headed in the same direction.

I believe it is up to us to change the
direction of self-destruction and that "they"
are here to help us, and, if possible, to save us.

It's interesting to me that the name, "Numos
or Numus or Humos," (I have no idea of the
correct spelling) pronounced as "New mows,
or New moos or Hew mows" is similar to our
word, "humans" (Numans). Of course, I am
sure that this is just coincidence .
As you will recall, "Numos" are the
messengers from beyond The Dark Star that
the Dogons tell us about.

It is also interesting that the name, "Eden"
means: the garden that was the first home
of Adam and Eve. Also called  Garden of Eden,
a delightful place; a paradise or a state of
innocence, bliss, or ultimate happiness.
Sounds like the Lost Continent of Atlantis
to me!

I guess that you can tell that I do not believe
in Darwin's theory!  However, I do believe in
a supreme being, a higher power, whether he
or she is called God, Buddha, Jehovah, Ra, Numo
or Mohammed, if you get my meaning.

Erik:  Do you think they could have been
"mainland" Atlanteans sent to colonize the
Mediterranean? Could "mainland" Atlantis
have been the UFO colony, and Mr. Pellegrino's
Atlantis a colony of that culture? I also
believe that the Atlantis that you Ann and
Susan lived in must have been the result
of UFO seeding.

Sandy:  It is quite possible!  As I said above,
I feel that the first Atlanteans were brought
to Earth by UFOs and that "Adam and Eve" may be
symbolic, of the people who were left in The
Garden of Eden (Atlantis)to colonize on that
continent as well as other continents.

We have come a long way in the past 100 years,
but what if we had thousands or hundred
of thousands or millions of years to develop
our technology?

Erik: The mind boggles, truly. My great Aunt
still remembers when cars had no heaters and
a 50 mile trip took all day! I drive that far
into work and back, it takes a little over an
hour!  Given what we've accomplished in the
last 100 years, I cannot imagine what we could
accomplish in the time spans you're talking
about! Star Trek move over! 

Sandy:  Yes, it is quite mind boggling to even
imagine what we could do...like building the
Great Pyramids of Egypt!  We are, just now, at
the very beginning of space travel and our
technology is considered advanced...yes, look
how far we have come in 100 years...and how far
we have to go!

Erik:  I tend to think there were factors of
both Sandy. Creation then some evolution then
a "creation" boost, then more evolution.
There's no reason it has to be one or the other.

Sandy:  Erik, you may very well be right!  I'd
give anything to know all the answers, wouldn't
you?

What I told you are my impressions or, as I
said, perhaps my remembrance of Atlantis.

Sandy: I believe the lost continent of
Atlantis is located in the Mediterranean
sea off the coast of Greece, closer to
the sea of Crete than either the Ionian
sea or the Aegean sea, and that it was
a Garden of Eden."

Rick:  Bullseye!  Yeeesh, stop me, a 3x
pun: 1.) You hit it dead-center, and...
2.) It's was the center of a
bull-worshipping civilization, located
(as per Plato) on...3.) a (formerly)
bullseye shaped island.

That's where the island of Thera
(Santorini) is where the archeologists
have been uncovering some ancient Minoan
ruins.

Sandy: The continent of Atlantis was torn
asunder in a great earthquake or perhaps
explosion (nuclear??) of some kind that
caused the great flood.  All of Atlantis
was inundated and fell into the sea, but
for a few small areas of land, and the
survivors fled to Egypt.

Rick:  Again, confirmed in Pellegrino's
book!  The explosion blew out maybe 50
CUBIC MILES of rock within the island.
St. Helens blew out what, about 1/2 cubic
mile? Can anyone imagine 100x St. Helens?
150 H-bombs set off at once? A bit of the
rim of the original island exists, and the
city being uncovered is there. Buried under
200' or so of pumice. These people had
enough warning to leave, so in the houses
uncovered so far all the good stuff -
jewelry, valuable transportables, had
been removed. Furniture, kitchen items,
fabulous wall frescoes etc. remain. Some
of the paintings show the city as it
existed. It was built in black, red, and
white stone, just like Plato described it.

The one thing that's skewed between your
account and the book is the time of the
calamity. From some pretty well documented
and cross referenced evidence, Pellegrino
puts the date at 1628 B.C.  Geological,
historical and archeological clues
converge on it very well. There may have
been (probably were) other such
explosions, tsunamis and floods much
farther back in time, and other great
and much older civilizations had to
endure them. But _the_ "Atlantis" legend,
as presented by Plato and as many of us
have come to know it, "almost certainly"
as the book says, refers to this Minoan
island and the city or cities that were
there.

As I said before, my opinion is that even
though this looks like it could close the
case of Atlantis proper, there was much
that came before them. Even on the dig on
Thera there are building foundations 2000
years before (below) the "Atlantean" ruins.

The glyphs so far found has not yet
yielded to attempts at translation. Only
a few houses out of a large city have been
recovered so far. No libraries, graveyards,
temples, etc. yet (the big storehouses of
archeological info), but they're probably
out there under the huge layer of volcanic
ash that preserves them. They say it'll
take archeologists 300 years to dig it all
up.

The reconstruction of what that place must
have been like looks like a Maxwell Parrish
style vision of the garden of eden.

Another Message:

Sandy: (From my post on Atlantis). There
were tall white alabaster-like columns
round the gazebo, and the area was quite
large.  As I turned, I could see down a
beautiful grassy slope to other white
column buildings.

Rick: I'm reading "Unearthing Atlantis"
by Pellegrino, and your account seems
quite familiar. The Thera connection
seems like a viable one, but probably
minus the "technology beyond our
wildest dreams or imagination"
aspect.

Sandy: I have not read "Unearthing
Atlantis" by Pellegrino, but since my
account seems quite familiar, it's
something I feel that I must read!
I'm not at all familiar with the "Thera
Connection," and as I have told others,
I get my information from impressions
that I feel (perhaps past life memories).

Rick:  If my memories or impressions are
correct, The pinnacle of bronze age
technology might have seemed that advanced
to the average human beings around the Med
at the time, and I'm pretty sure they had
a few things that even we would find
astonishing. I'm not convinced yet that
Thera was Atlantis, and I'd still like to
know if anything big civilization-wise
was happening a little closer to the end
of the ice age, specifically around 10,500
yrs. ago. And I'm still a little suspicious
that somebody back then might have had some
tech "beyond our wildest dreams".

Sandy: I speak not of the bronze age! The
information that I have been given predates
the Bronze Age.  I do not get my knowledge
from studying or reading about Atlantis.

It is my belief that Atlantis was a highly
advanced civilization. I believe the MOST
OF OUR PRESENT DAY DISCOVERIES ARE ANCIENT
REDISCOVERIES OF THAT TIME (and we
have a long way to go).

Proof that Atlantis existed is in a chamber or
walkway of the right paw of the great Sphinx."

Conversation between myself and Jeff Naujok:

Jeff, You say that you have a friend who
believes he was a ruling member of
Atlantis. That's really interesting.
With all of my regression experiences,
I have never been able to "get" more
than a few bits and pieces of my past
lives.  In fact, the only lifetime
that I got more than a few glimpses
of was the life just previous to this
one which was in the Central Valley
of California in the late 1920 or
early 30's.

Jeff, I have a very open mind and, in
fact, feel that we may all be "relatives"
of the people of Atlantis who may have
been left on earth by aliens who come
from outer space.  I will share part of
a message that I wrote of my feelings
and remembrances of Atlantis.  Perhaps
you can talk to your friend and see if
hr agrees with my thoughts. Even if he
doesn't, it's nice to exchange
different views.  I will never say that
"this is the way is was" I will only say
that "this is the way it could have been."
