We're not discussion about odds of mutation to lethality.  We're
talking about the much lower odds of mutation to a strain that's easier
to catch.  Or of possible strains that might be out there that combine
the worst traits of Ebola Zaire and Ebola Reston.  You *did* know that
the current strain in Zaire is faster-acting than previous ones, and
kills faster once symptoms start to show?  This isn't a one-trick
virus.

Well, no- I think that it could possibly climb on an airplane and be
carried to the rest of the world like a normal virus.  You know- like
the people who caught tuberculosis on that plane flight in Alaska a

Kinshasa?  Look at some of the news footage of Kikwit, or read an

"World security?  Like the marvelous world security that let a couple
of guys leave Zaire and travel to Canada?  (They're in isolation right
now, and they don't seem to have the disease... but how many others
have traveled to less-organized areas, or lied about their countries of
origin?)

Like the great security that keeps Dengue Fever isolated to, er, 12
countries so far?  

A little hint here: quarantines only work on a small scale, and only
when the people being quarantined agree to go along with the
quarantine.  The Zairean Army is helping out by leaving their posts,
letting people go pretty much where they want.

You can trust the 'medical profession' to look out for your health but that 
is not without it's risks. Or you can understand appreciate and apply such 
wisdom as "an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure".  Then you can 
start being responsible for your own "health"  (Doctor's mostly study 
'disease' in med school) and begin to attend to all the aspects that effect 
your health. 

Physically, boosting the immune system is very important. The immune system 
should be studied and appreciated and cared for.
