About This File:
----------------
This file is an evolving list of "Frequently Asked Questions" documents on
medicine-related topics posted to UseNet Newsgroups on the Internet. For
an overview of the FAQ philosophy, see ³FAQs about FAQs² from
Sibit,sibit@datasrv.co.il, posted to news.newusers.questions.

Where an FAQ appears in more than one Newsgroup, if those groups include
sci.med, this is the only one listed since it is assumed readers of this
file will have access to sci.med. News Answers (a moderated repository for
periodic UseNet articles) is a good place to look if you canıt find an FAQ
where you expect it, as many are co-posted here. Again, if an FAQ appears
in several places other than sci.med, but including news.answers, just
news.answers is listed. Note that where a named person is given as a
contact, this person is likely to have to send the FAQ to you by personal
email since you may not have access to that particular Newsgroup. As this
involves their time and possible expense, please do not randomly make
requests for FAQs. If you have constructive comments, I'm sure that the FAQ
author will be receiptive to these. FAQs are listed in no particular
order.

Suggestions and submissions for inclusion in future versions most welcome.
Many thanks to those who have already sent a contribution to the list.
