Extensive research done in India and in many other countries in
the world have yielded the following discoveries:
1. Asthma is not caused by any infection- so no antibiotic can cure it.
2. It is a psycho-somatic(originating in the mind) disease.
3.All 'cures' offered by modern medicine is only a temporary remedy
for this disease of 'partial airway obstruction'
4.cures are possible only if the problem is approached in an integrated
way using relaxation techniques of body and mind.

It is possible to achieve 4 through the use of YOGA-asanas,pranayama,
relaxation etcetera.

The results of such studies are published in British Medical Journal,
American Journal of Asthma etc.(I do not know the exact references).
