    LISTEN UP FOLKS!

    This suit effects "YOU"!

    Mike Benson has been sued for libel in the amount of $50,000 by
    Mayor Jack Simpson for posting the message below to Frank
    McDougal on a public bulletin board.

    This suit has virtually silenced 90% of all political criticism
    directed at "Mayor Simpson" on that BBS!

                            LET ME SAY THAT AGAIN...

    This suit has virtually silenced 90% of all political criticism
    directed at "Mayor Simpson" on that BBS!

    Benson did not even post the message!  He is guilty only of
    being careless with his password.  As a vocal member of the
    opposing political party, it is not unthinkable he was "SETUP"!

    I strongly suggest that anyone having knowledge of any similar
    legal actions take the time to share that knowledge and help
    stop this misuse of the system.  >thank you<

You may recall the 1990 Committee for Good Government headed by Robert
Curtis, Charles Collini, Ted Little, and assisted by Ex-Mayor Moore,
and Joe Conicelli, all of which seem quite content with the activities
of the present Mayor.

In 1990, they conjured up complaints against Mayor DeMarco, finding
fault with the modernization of the police departments, repairing the
Boro Hall and a variety of contrived nonsense. Eventually the Recall
Petition was withdrawn. Now they are pleased that Mayor Jack Simpson
hired his own lawyer and tried to forcefeed the council with his
choice, in violent opposition of the Home Rule Charter.  HIRED GHOST
EMPLOYEES who were avid supporters of his campaign. Last month
purchased a property without an ordinance or even telling Council in
direct violation of the Charter (401). Now ALLOWS TICKETS TO BE FIXED
for friends, taking money from taxpayers.
