The person of whom you speak is Dick Carver and he is on the front
cover of the October 23, 1995 issue. He was here in Minnesota on
September 23, 1995 as part of his 23 state "Bring Back The Mid-West"
speaking tour, and was a guest on two of our cable shows, "The Truth
(as I see it)."

There *is* a lawsuit, the United States v. Nye County, Nevada. This
lawsuit is actually a positive because Dick Carver now has the federal
government where he wanted them - the proof is now upon the government
to prove that the land within the borders of the county do not belong
to the people of Nye.

As I understand it, when the state of Nevada joined the union, it
ceded all of its territory to the national government and then all of
the territory was then ceded back to the brand new state. Kind of a
way of flushing away all of the old treaties and what not and starting
off fresh.

According to Dick Carver and his research, the only land that the
federal government can own within the state is that property necessary
for forts, arsenals, magazines, and other needful buildings (such as
the post office).

Dick arver laughs and says they can land manage all the yard around
the post office they want!

The two half hour programs we produced are available from an elderly
gentleman I know for $10 shipped priority mail. He's 70 years old,
has been living in the same house since 1966 and is a true patriot.
He may be reached at:
