Someone asked about flowers for drying and I lost the article so I
will post a few possibilies for everyone.

Achillea - Yarrow is the common name for this and comes in many colors
but the golden and yellow are the most widely planted.

Strawflowers- these are annuals and they dry very nicely on their
own.

Sedum - They are many varieties of sedum. "Autumn Joy" is red then
turns to a brownish red in the late fall. This also dries well. The
butterflies also love this.

Lavender - Just tie them up and hang them upside down in a dry well
ventilated place and they can be used for many things.

Armeria - Thrift, I have three different colored flowers from the
package of seeds I got (White, Purple, and Pink) I don't know if it is
normal to dry these but I tried it this year and they have done quite
well. Dry like lavender.

Artemesia (sp) this also dries very well. I cut off stems just above
ground level and dry the whole thing. These are good for wreathes and
in dry flower arrangements.. Grayish green color.

Baby's Breath. No more needs to be said about this one.

Butterfly Weed - I can't remember the botanical name, they have orange
flowers and attract monarch butterflies like crazy. These are nice
for fall arrangements.

Well that's all I can think of without one of my books to jog my
memory.

I hope this will give you some IDEAS.
