Here is a quick and cheap way to get important background
information on Nye county.

(It's better than spending $3 for Time Magazine.  I only got it
for the cover.  They must have taken a lot of pictures to get one
where Dick Carver looks almost mean.)

Carver carries with him an excellent 16 page newspaper style
publication which contains Nye County resolutions, background,
authorities, news, Freedom of Information Request documents and
opinions of two county attorneys.

This pape lays the whole issue out with clarity and authority.

Send them a buck if you want a sample.  Better yet, send them
four bucks and you will get 10 copies of this informative paper
which you can use to educate others.  Also, send a note telling
the publishers that we need text or word processing files!

This paper was produced about one year ago so it does not have
the current lawsuit in it.  But all the important foundation for
the Nye approach is here.

The paperwork filed in U.S. v. Nye through July stacks up to
about 6 - 8 inches.  Some of this is redundant exhibits.  I got
mine from the Nye county planning department in Tonopah.  Not all
of what I got was actual court record -- a couple of the papers
from the Nye side were drafts.  Also, some were faxes not
suitable for scanning.  (A moot point since I don't have a
scanner.)

Big issues here!  1st Amendment as well as state sovereignty and
republican government.  Hard to tell what the lawyers will end up
doing with it.
