Well, how can one reply to such a piece of writing!!

I think that the first thing we should all remember is that Johnny
Cochran did exactly what he had to do in defending a client who is
reported to be paying a seven figure sum for his services.

I am not prepared to pursue a lengthy argument about whether OJ did or
did not kill anyone, since we have all be subjected to this for long
enough. However I was sickened, am sickened, that the serious crime of
murder was effectively ignored during Johnny's  "final speech". After
all that is what the trial is for.

The problem with the American Judicial system as I see it is that it
has become a "Show Biz" affair, a pantomime which effectively prevents
a fair trial from occurring. It is the total Media Coverage for
Celebrity trials which has spawned the likes of Mr. Cochran.

If America wants to prevent the return to the anarchy that the world
witnessed in L.A, then it is time to curb the power of the media, such
that members of the jury cannot and will not be biased toward the
outcome of a trial by the comments made by people who have access to
very little factual information and who's only interest is to make
salacious comments and sell papers and air time.

That I believe is the root of the problems that Americans must
address.

As to the specific details of OJ's problems I don't believe that we
should ignore Motive and previous assaults, when surmising that he was
forced to watch the murders and then indirectly threatened to remain
silent.

For a celebrity of his standing, if this was the case, the most
obvious solution would have been to "blow the whistle" on the whole
affair and rely on his public standing and stardom to protect the
lives of his children.
