ACROSS THE UNIVERSE - Fall 1995

    Greetings and welcome from the Ascordia Center!  We are
dedicating this issue to the great City of Philadelphia, my
present home and original birthplace some forty odd years ago!
I had been drawn back to this city ten years ago after a long
period away and had always wondered what mysterious
circumstances conspired to bring me back.
    I know now that Spirit brought me here to fulfill a sacred
purpose (as Lightworker and World Server) - To awaken people to
their spiritual destiny and to anchor into this fair city new
energies of light and love that are being sent to the planet
from the Celestial and Whole Light realms.
    My purposes were slowly revealed to me over time and through
highly unusual circumstances and I daresay that many people were
brought to this city under similarly unusual circumstances and
for similar reasons. I now know that there is a master plan
involving a great multitude of Lightworkers to initiate a great
spiritual awakening here and all along the entire East coast
which can only be achieved when a critical mass has been
awakened, healed and rightfully attuned to their spiritual
origins and purposes.
    We, as "Philly" Lightworkers, were brought here to first
heal ourselves and then heal each other so that we could all
become attuned to our spiritual purpose which, in general, is to
become clear and pure channels of the energies of light and
love.
    As such, we would be most able to anchor these powerful
forces into the very grounds of Philadelphia itself!  For
Philadelphia is truly a blessed and a sacred city, with great
vortices and portals of energy anchored here from the angelic
and ascended master realms that easily project out across the
land and the entire planet!  And stored within the caves, rocks
and waters of its beautiful parks are encoded memories and
vibrations from the Atlantean and Pre-Atlantean times including
the Native American realms.
    Spirit has indicated that the simplest and most profound way
that we can anchor in these energies, thus raising this city's
vibrations is by honoring her sacred sites through meditation
and prayer, sacred ceremony and ritual.
    This anchoring,in turn, will not only raise the vibrational
frequencies, of Philadelphia and the East Coast but the entire
United States as well!  And this "ascension" of frequencies will
eventually trigger and activate all of of humanity to redirect
its will to that of spiritual principles and universal law.
    Such spiritual principles, then, are exemplified by this
particular city's namesake - The City of Brotherly Love and the
Cradle of Democracy!
    All of the articles in this issue, then, reflect upon this
theme of awakening to our spiritual origins, purposes and
destiny, in Philadelphia. For we, in Philadelphia, are meant to
come together (in greater and greater numbers) to anchor in
these energies of light and love and to initiate a great
spiritual awakening all across the land.
    It is my hope and prayer that this great awakening will
catch on, catch hold and catch fire like the great freedom
flame, like the violet fire and ascension flame so that it will
spread its light across the entire planet and ultimately across

      PHILADELPHIA - THE HOLY EXPERIMENT ENTERS THE NEW AGE

    Have you ever wondered why you were born in Philadelphia or live
in and around the Philadelphia area? Are you one of the many people
who recently moved to Philadelphia because you knew it was
important, but didn't know why? Have you, more recently been
getting intuitions, hints or, even direct experiences indicating
your purposes here?
    William Penn, founder of this "Holy Experiment", as he called
it, was guided to call this area - Philadelphia, the City of
Brotherly Love, even before the settlement was started! What did he
intuit about this location and how can we find out for ourselves why
this area is indeed a Holy Experiment?
    Well, the time of revelations has come for we are now entering
an age of great spiritual awakening. Many of us are remembering our
purposes for returning to the earth plane as "messengers of light",
"walk-ins"," star children", world servers or "light workers".
    So let us now remember our purposes in Philadelphia, to be the
catalysts or "keys" to this great awakening taking place all across
the land!
    During the Spring, I started a study group, to explore the
spiritual principles behind the US. Constitution. As such, we
studied many books and esoteric tracts which indicated a high
spiritual purpose behind the development of the United States.
    As lightworkers, my friends and I were interested in discovering
what our spiritual purposes were for living in the United States
and, more specifically, for living in the city of Philadelphia.
    One of the books we read was entitled Spiritual Politics by
Corinne McLaughlin and Gordon Davidson. This book began to give us
some answers by providing a metaphysical overview of the destiny of
all nations and, in particular, the soul destiny of the United
States. Quoting David Spangler in his book, Conversations with
John, the authors state:  The United States 'is a planetary nation,
emerging not from a particular race or people, but from the efforts,
hopes and dreams of men and women of all races and nations. It is
the site of a great planetary experiment, a human experiment; for
the United States has emerged with a destiny to serve humanity in
ways no other country has ever done".
    With this understanding that our country has such a great
destiny, we asked ourselves what we, who live in "the cradle of
liberty" can do to achieve this destiny.
    We decided to hold a group meditation /visualization in order to
receive an answer. In so doing, we asked spirit to provide us with
a vision, message or sign.
    We first envisioned ourselves standing in a circle at
Independence Hall around a cracked flagstone. This particular
flagstone is lined up centrally between Independence Hall and the
Commodore Barry statue and is a power center where six "ley" lines
of great power and force merge and enter into the earth.
    (Ley lines are cosmic energies that travel along
electro-magnetic lines of force that circle the planet in an energy
gridwork system and enter the earth through sites indicated as power
centers (see Leroy Bull's article in this issue)
    With this visualization in mind, we then collectively asked
spirit what our purposes were in Philadelphia. During the
meditation, two people in our group actually 'saw' the ley lines
entering the flagstone area, either as 'swift streams of fog,' or as
'streaks of iridescent light in bluish gray'.
    Some of us saw circles of Archangels and the Ascended Masters
such as El Morya (Master of Divine Will), St. Germaine (Master of
Spiritual Freedom and the Violet Ray) and Jesus Sananda
(Christ-Master of Divine Love). Still others saw circles of Native
American spirits (earth healers) and some of the original signers of
the Declaration of Independence and Constitution!
    One person saw a "space-ship shaped" energy pouring gold and
white beams of light directly down into our circle. And yet another
saw herself connecting these energies of light with those of
Washington, DC. and New York City!  The message was clear from our
meditation that great spiritual energies are pouring into this great
vortex of power at Independence Hall and that we have many guides
and masters standing ready to help us in our work.
    Our "work" evidently is to found or ground in these higher
spiritual energies and to connect them with other cities along the
entire Eastern coast!
    So that we have been called to Philadelphia in order to
accomplish this task. As lightworkers, then, we have "the keys"
within us to open doorways and portals to vaster spiritual realms
and energies.  Such openings are meant to facilitate the development
of the Age of Awakening, the Age of Radiance or the New Age as it is
commonly termed. And that's because Philadelphia, the City of
Brotherly Love, is the community of the upcoming New Age!
    According to the great spiritual thinker, Rudolph Steiner, the
New Age is actually the Age of Philadelphia and those within the
"community at Philadelphia" are the keys to open the doorway into
these higher levels of knowing and being.
    Says Steiner, "The spiritual wisdom we have acquired during the
fifth age will become the impulse of love in the sixth age, which is
represented by the community expressing itself even in its name, the
community of brotherly love, or Philadelphia. Accordingly, we are
just beginning to move from the fifth age into the sixth age".
    Philadelphia is the sixth community addressed in the biblical
book of Revelation, and thus, represents the sixth age of mankind's
spiritual development
    In this age, we will be all so aware of our connection with one
another that no one can suffer without everyone suffering.  And at
the same time, we will have a greater freedom of thought than ever
before.
    Thus we will move into a whole new understanding and way of life
that expresses itself as Unity in Diversity, or In Many, One or "E
Pluribus Unum" (as our one dollar bills proclaim!)
    For Steiner, the Book of Revelation is not about any outer
apocalypse, but rather describes the spiritual evolution of man.
And we are evolving into the "Age of Philadelphia"!
    And St. John, writer of the Book of Revelation, states in his
prophecy:  "And to the Angel of the community in Philadelphia write:
These things saith he that is holy, he that is true, he that hath
the key of David, he that openeth, and no man shutteth; and shutteth
and no man openeth. Behold, I have set before thee an open door,
and no man can shut it." (Revelation, iii.  7, 8) Thus the doorways
to our spiritual evolution are being opened literally and
figuratively in the age and City of Philadelphia!
    Let us envision this geographical area as it was in ancient
times. A great pyramid or temple from Atlantean or pre-Atlantean
times may have stood on the site which is now Independence Hall.
The energies emanating from this site are very powerful, as
tremendous as the energies found at Stonehenge, England or at the
Great Pyramid of Giza in Egypt.
    And no wonder! No less that six ley lines emanate from a point
marked by the cracked flagstone between Independence Hall and the
Commodore Berry statue. One of the lines runs northwest through the
Art Museum, Belmont Plateau, and on towards the Valley Forge Park
area. Another extends itself southward through Cape May and
eventually towards Egypt. And a third runs southwest and actually
reaches Chichen Itza, Mexico.
    This great vortex of energy is capable of sending out powerful
thought and intention towards divine love and light around the
planet, magnifying and transmitting this energy efficiently along an
electro-magnetic energy grid.
    Those of us who live here have a special opportunity to activate
these higher vibrations and ascend our city into the City of Light
that it truly is.
    As each of us opens ourselves up to the inflow of this powerful
energy of divine love and light we can automatically raise the
vibration of this geographical area by grounding these energies into
our bodies and minds and projecting these energies across the land
through visualizations and meditations.
    It is important that we hold a vision of a magnificent flowering
of this "Holy Experiment" rather than to focus on the images of
poverty, drugs, violence, and despair that we see in the news or in
our immediate environment.
    I had a very powerful experience while on a train ride to Rhode
Island where I was to attend a native American sundance. During a
meditation on the train, I had an overlighting vision for
Philadelphia!
    In the vision, I saw Philadelphia's City Hall as a great
medicine wheel of light, with doors to the East, South, West and
North, just as City Hall is designed.
    Directly East Of City Hall was the eagle-power animal of the
United States of America-representing the dawning energies of the
Age of Radiance, as I like to call it. (The eagle actually exists
in the form of a bronze statue in the Great Hall at Wanamakers
department store, where wonderful celebrations are often held.
    I also saw the great energy vortex of ley lines at Independence
Hall bursting into a 1000-petaled lotus, and I knew it to represent
the blooming of the flower of "E Pluribus Unum" (in Many One) the
motto of our country.
    Later, that summer, City Hall became the center of a great
gathering of 2000 children who circled the building
singing-gathering in the energies of brotherly love from the four
directions and intensifying them under the watchful (and I'm
certain) gratified eye of William Penn!
    And just one year after my vision on the train, many of those
from the sundance in Rhode Island, made a pilgrimage to Independence
Hall as part of a Peace and Dignity Journey. There, they created a
ceremony of the four colors--drawing together the four races of man
from the four directions into unity and oneness.  And at
Independence Hall on January 11, 1992 nearly 200 lightworkers
gathered to celebrate the opening of the doorway of the 11:11.
Dressed in white, we were like beautiful petals of a giant lotus
joining with thousands of others around the planet to step through
the door of "E Pluribus Unum" - In Many, One.
    To be living in or near this "Greene Country Towne" whose City
Hall is a great medicine Wheel of light and whose Independence Hall
is a powerful vortex of spiritual energies, is indeed a great
privilege!
    As we move towards 1996, it's time that we, in Philadelphia,
step into the fulfillment of the ideal of "E Pluribus Unum", and
come together to serve and honor our city.
    We can serve her spiritual purposes by honoring the sacred sites
that truly exist here in and around the city.
    We can do this by meditating on these sites in the privacy of
our own homes and visualize them as being filled with the energies
of divine light and love or we can actually go to these sites with
sacred intent, call in the divine energies, and ask for a vision or
any information that might be needed for healing or inspiration.
    The best known sacred sites around the city are Independence
Hall and its environs, City Hall, Old Swedes Church and Christ
Church in downtown Philadelphia.
    Outside of center city, one can visit or meditate upon the
various sites found in the parks and related historic areas such as
Penn Treaty Park, located on Delaware Ave. next to the river, the
Kelpius Cave on the site of the old Rosicrucian Monastery and the I
AM Temple in the Wissahickon Park, the Chapel and Arch at Valley
Forge Park and the grounds of Quaker Meeting Houses and all other
places of worship.
    All of these sites will offer their gifts as we enter them in a
sacred manner and will reveal their purpose to us when we ask for
their energy and insight.
    Although sacred site activities can be spectacular inner/outer
events, as previously described, quiet activities can also have
great power.
    Several of us made a sacred walk through Valley Green singing
songs to honor the energies of the Divine Mother.
    Two of us visited Penn Treaty Park where we were told that the
Deva of Philadelphia is the Green Tree Deva who should always be
honored when doing sacred work for this area.
    Many of us gathered together at a drumming circle at Belmont
Plateau, overlooking the beautiful skyline of Philadelphia where we
were given honey to distribute, signifying a cooperation between
humans and spirit to enhance the sweetness of energies around
Philadelphia.
    In any case, remind yourself that all these places are not just
physical places outside yourself but, more importantly, are sacred
spaces within your own divine being. You are Independence Hall!
And you are the keys to releasing new energies of light and love
which are expressed at the sacred site of Independence Hall!
    Let us offer our gratitude, then to be living in this
magnificent city, this Holy Experiment which has been founded by
great spiritual energies, energies which have indeed birthed a new
nation based on the principles of freedom and justice for all and
the principles of democracy - "E Pluribus Unum"- In Many, One.
    The Declaration of Independence and the Constitution were
responsible for the birth of our nation and we, as spiritual
midwives, will birth into being an even greater nation founded, as
it will be, on an even greater frequency of (Brotherly) Love and
(Spiritual) Freedom.

A Message from the Ascended Master Daniel as channeled through Amy
Bortner

(This is a re-print from the premier issue of the A.T.U.- Vol. 1
Issue 1, Spring, 1993)

    Question: "Daniel, why did the Founding Fathers come to an area
that was known as Philadelphia to create the constitutional
freedoms that we know of today? Why this area that we know of
as Philadelphia and not, let's say. Trenton. NJ. or
Wilmington. DE.?"

    Daniel: "(Give me a moment then as I access information I hope
that I have for you.)
    We feel that then, were many reasons for the choice of this
particular area as a creation of Philadelphia. as you know it.
    As you know, this is a very sacred area for the Indians, for the
Eastern Americans Indians, rather, in the Northeast and Eastern
states and the coastal areas. This particular area is quite sacred.
There have been found many sacred grounds, many sacred caves and
many sacred quarries that were effected with great power and great
energy due to the fact that they were used as burial grounds, as
power spots, as alters or commemorative centers to the spirits of
their forefathers, to the spirits of the dead and to the great
spirit that they believed in, on other levels and in other
probabilities.
    This also was a great center in Atlantis. That this was a city
of great enterprise that was highly dynamic, that was a port city as
well, as Philadelphia is today. The name of that city, if I can
recount it accurately, is Namalou. This city has the distinction of
having many individuals arise from its populous who became quite
powerful in the various governments that were maintained during the
Atlantian time period. So much so that, their impressions or their
memories are keyed in to this spot or this area, not only on the
physical but the astral level as well. And that their memories are
encoded, in a fashion, in power spots, in the areas that you know of
as the Fairmount Park systems.
    So that many individuals can gain inspiration and understanding
of power, the use and right use of power. Thus to say there are
many groups in the Philadelphia area who are working for political
restitution, for civil rights, for the environment, for social
equality and so on, because of the fact that there is encouragement
given to those individuals by such power spots, by such power
centers.
    There is also the very simple reason that because William Penn
was granted this charter to build a city in this area or to at least
create a colony in the state of Pennsylvania, that's been called
Penns Woods, this area was favored by Penn as a base station or a
foundation for him in which he could make his forays into the state,
so that it became a home for him and it was invested with that
quality. Because, then, it was given a sense of foundation that had
many foundations from other civilizations, the Founding Fathers were
naturally drawn to it as an area or environment conducive to
creating foundations, to creating structures.
    There were guides leading them here as well. For in the
creation of structure, in the creation of foundation there are
certain, shall we call it, thought frequencies or codes or blueprint
patterning of ideas that were resonant within the Founding Fathers
consciousness to the energy spots and the codes created in these
caverns, in these caves that allowed for what we would call a
residential link up or empowerment link up that created an energy
vortex that drew to itself even more of the similar frequencies to
it.
    And you will find this to be the case in many cities, that there
is a certain slant or orientation or thinking process that is
peculiar or typical of that city and that city only. For that is
true because of its ability or residential qualities to attract
similar thinking people, similar thinking opportunities, similar
thinking consciousnesses.
    Thus to say, Philadelphia has a certain consciousness level that
attracts those individuals who are interested in creating
structures, interested in creating foundations and interested in
creating structure and foundation that are based on a more
sophisticated or ever more increasing sophistication of
understanding of the right use of power.
    And that is why Philadelphia has the distinction of being a
premier New Age city because it has those qualities of recreating
new structures and new foundations as individuals come to a more
even sophisticated and realized sense of the right use of power.
    This then is the crux or the essence of the Philadelphia flavor,
it is a city composed of and obsessed with power but on many
different levels and in many shades and levels of nuance."

                     INTENTIONAL COMMUNITY

    The term Intentional means something done deliberately and
Community means a social group whose members live in a specific
locality, share the government of the locality, or have a common
heritage. It may include a social or occupational group as well as
a group of people who have similar values or character in common.
    The gathering, then, of what we term Starseeds, Light Bringers,
Light Beings and World Servers, at this time, would be considered an
Intentional Community. By waking up to our true origins and
purposes here on the earth plane, we can begin to gather together so
as to network, meditate, share our light (energy), and learn how to
increase our light (energy) for the benefit of all humankind.
    We need to do this so that our Mother Earth can go through her
vibrational transition from the third dimension into the fourth and
then fifth dimension in an easy and harmonious fashion.
    Through several spiritual sources, we learned that one of the
'Ancient of Days', Lord Sanat Kumara, and other Star Helpers came to
this planet eons ago to give their light (energy) and unconditional
love to our planet so that it could grow and develop.
    It is a spiritual law that our planet must sustain herself now
and re turn light and love to the universe, in equal measure, as it
was and continually is given to her. We need to take
responsibility, then, for ourselves and to gather together to give
the Light back to Mother Earth so that these Special Ones can return
to their own homes and dimensions.
    It is important that we learn how to conserve, cleanse, and
increase our light (energy) during these times and to send light
from out hearts to all of humanity for our mutual spiritual
awakening.
    As Mother Earth is changing in her vibrational frequency, so is
mankind and all other living systems. Now is the time for those of
like mind to come together to discuss different ways of handling our
responsibilities as lightworkers and to foresee future developments
as these changes occur.
    For, in the future, we see the need for more and more social
co-operation with one another rather than not. We see the need to
create a sense of community amongst individuals rather than
maintaining individual competitiveness and isolation.
    By looking at Mother Nature's living cycles, we can learn how to
set up new patterns for ourselves that will balance and nourish our
planet as well as each other in this fashion.
    As such, we will be able to set up new systems of finance and
self governance based on models of social cooperation, service and
inter-dependence.
    For example, we may want to set up a barter system, in the near
future, where skills could be used and negotiated in a mutual
exchange of energy instead of money being implemented for goods and
services.
    Discussions on these topics should be shared, now, in groups
dedicated to these new spiritual ideals These ideas could and should
be implemented to created this needed social change.
    Followed faithfully and on a daily basis, these new social
structures and behaviors will eventually become a totally new way of
life.
    For we really do have the ability to change our way of life
through changing our form and style of education, food production
and transportation and by transforming our occupational and living
environments into sustainable and healthy places to live.
    And by gathering together we can share what we know, in the form
of resources, skills and materials. Through workshops, discussions
and meditations, we can establish the parameters for creating new
intentional communities (where our heart rules rather than just our
head.)
    In so doing, we will reconnect with our spiritual selves and
activate our Starseed and Light Bringer's purpose on Earth. For we
are here to help Mother Earth and all of her inhabitants transform
into more radiant, loving, enlightened and co-operative beings!

                A MESSAGE FROM FROM ST. GERMAINE
             as received through Penelope Greenwell

    We ask you to consider to take this opportunity and to out
picture and envision what you wish to create, for that is what will
be created and if all of you can come together with a common
understanding and a common vision, can you imagine the power that
you will all have.
    That is what we ask you to do for this Philadelphia, this City
of Brotherly Love. For it is here that the seeds of freedom are
held. Now there have been prophesies that Philadelphia would need
to be washed by great floods of water, that would come down upon her
from the lakes that you call the Great Lakes, that are part of the
St. Lawrence Seaway.
    But my Dear Ones, do you honestly wish that your beautiful city
and her rivers be swollen and this great land would be flooded, and
the seeds might wash away. Rather would you outpicture, each one of
you, cleansing this land and this city energetically, using the
powers that you have within you, that is telepathically creating a
vision of a clean and light city where everyone communes in
brotherly love, freedom.
    Now this is a great challenge, indeed, considering that this
city has been created, as it were as a classroom for teaching these
aspects to each other. And each one of you has found it a great
challenge to exist here in this city and its environs. And each one
of you has grown and learned, tremendously.
    It is true, My Dear ones, that the structure of this planet has
been harmed by the atomic bombs that have been exploded under her
surface and literally created fissures and as it were broken bones
in her structure and the etheric layers and the energy fields have
been torn asunder by atomic explosions and ethically she has been
harmed by the thought forms of destruction aimed mostly at the
feminine principal, even within each one of you, male and female
alike.
    You have made virtually war on your emotions, refusing to accept
that all is equal, and that what you hold in one hand is simply a
reflection of what you hold in the other, and that you have the
ability, mentally to transform and to bring into alignment your
thoughts with your emotions and your actions.
    And it is when you find this alignment, of thoughts, feelings
and emotions, when you mind and heart speak of the same truth, it is
then and only then, that you will see that all that must be
transited on this plane, this earth, is necessary.
    Each one of you, as you meditate, and you work individually and
collectively has lightened the load for Terra-Prana, and you are
correct that great earth changes have been transformed by thought
and focus by intention. Go to the places on the planet which
contain the most power for you, where you are most Divine and stand
and let the energy go through your body and go into the earth.
    Allow your self to be a vehicle for transformation and
outpicture the Earth as the beautiful garden, as she was intended.
Imagine that this ring of fire, as it is often been termed, that has
been broken in many places by atomic explosions, imagine that these
fissures, within the plates of the planet are fused again and that
gently and carefully she is rocked back to health.
    For we do not wish to watch great destruction on this planet and
neither do you. And yet we all understand that the earth, as in
your physical bodies, must be brought back into balance.
    My Dear Ones, you have had great experiences with vibrational
medicine, you know, do you not, the power of the mantras, symbols
and prayer, the power of visualizations, use these as you have on
bodies, for the earth. And speak of them to all that you know.
Bring the great truths that you have experienced and that you have
intuited yourself from your master/teachers and bring them into
form. You will not only bring your body back to health and
wholeness, but you will assist the Earth back to the wholeness and
completion of the garden that she truly is.

     ENERGY LEY LINES, DOMES AND POWER CENTERS IN YOUR LIFE.

    Energy ley lines are natural flows of cosmic energy that are of
the electrical sign (+) plus. They encircle the earth in an energy
grid pattern and enter the earth at points called power centers.
All "power centers" have 'domes'.
    Domes are locations on the land where water rises up vertically
through the earth's strata. Water veins are generated here when
this water goes off horizontally from this vertical flow.
    This occurs at different levels underground where the earth's
strata have cracks or soft inclusions. Thus, domes are locations of
great underground water veins and rivers. It is also a fact that
all this underground water flows away from the center of a dome
formation.
    When a water dome and an energy ley line come together we truly
have a "power center". Water is of the electrical sign (-) minus
and the ley line is of the electrical sign (+) plus. Therefore, a
power center contains the energy and power from both a negative and
positive source, (+) & (-) or yin-yang/ male-female.
    We can liken these places to be the acupuncture points of the
earth. Before the renaissance, these sites were sought after and
used, as places for ceremonial sites. Stone circles, pyramids,
churches and public meeting places were built on these "sacred
sites". The presence of balanced energy, at these locations, left
the participants with feelings of comfort, energy and well being.
    Everything in the universe has it's own energy and vibrates to
it's own frequency. This biosphere that we live in, is literally a
Primordial soup of different energies and frequencies. We are born
into and feel it at all times. It is the "stuff" of the universe
and universal consciousness.
    Like a coin, however, energy has two sides. Some people feel
uncomfortable or noxious if they have had a long exposure to a
single kind of energy, (of one electric sign). Another person may
feel elation or comfort if exposed to that same single sign energy.
    In other-words, each of us is "wired" differently and an energy
that might feel very uncomfortable to me may feel (and be) very
beneficial to you. The source of these energies may be natural like
those found in mineral deposits, water veins or ley lines or
artificial like those found in high tension lines or in micro wave
ovens.
    Dowsers are people who are consciously connected to this
universal flow of energy. They feel it, code it and identify it by
their brokerage of this energy.
    When dowsers analyze a house or office, they seek energy sources
that are noxious to the inhabitants and suggest ways to eliminate
these problems. They may also find areas where individuals can go
and seek comfort or recharge in an energy place that is beneficial
to them.
    According to dowsers, if you are at dis-ease with your
environment, you are close to disease. feng shui are all examples of
this art of identifying and working with this energy in a variety of
ways, shapes and kind.
    Practitioners of such arts are peoples who's spiritual journey
has brought them to a knowledge of "co-creation" with God and
energy.
    And As the Age of Aquarius approaches, we come to understand
that the word "healer" more appropriately means co-creator with God
and Universal Energy.

   "SACRED SITES OF MOTHER EARTH- DOORWAYS TO SPIRITUAL GROWTH"

    What makes a sacred site sacred? For those of us brought up in
any of the traditional western religions, the answer had to do with
the veneration of certain historic locales over many generations.
When we were children, we were told by those in religious authority
that at such and such a place, this or that individual met with a
vision, a personage, or entity whose origin was divine, hence,
making that place sacred.
    What about now? The now being broadly defined by what we call
the New Age. Now we know we are part of a greater cosmic whole, a
greater multi-dimensional reality certainly infinitely larger than
the quaint though beautiful Heaven-Earth-Hell model we were told as
children to explain the universe and its divine beginnings.
    Now we understand that we live in a dimension of time-space that
is basically composed of moving energy and light. That the Heaven
and Hell we experience is the one that we make and that we create,
or rather, co-create our reality by projecting our thoughts and
beliefs into a dimension that acts to coalesce energy into form.
This time-space reality is actually a three-dimensional holographic
field upon which energy is projected and through which energy moves,
grows, changes appears and disappears and such a field exists within
a continuum of multi-dimensions and infinite realities.
    As we understand our reality to be of one of many space-time
dimensions and that we are actually multi-dimensional, we co-exist
simultaneously then, within infinite dimensions with different
identities, forms and energy fields. Whether you are talking about
a molecule, a person, a dolphin, a planet or a star, all participate
in a multi-dimensional universe created from and for an infinite
source of energy and energy pattern.
    All living forms, including the human form, then, are manifested
and actualized energy fields within a particularized dimension (or
focus) which we perceive to be as physical. Recent advances in
science as well as ancient metaphysical texts indicate and
demonstrate that there are more subtler, non-physical bodies i.e.
energy fields that surround and interpenetrate the physical body
indicated by the categories of astral, etheric, mental, emotional,
causal and ketheric bodies. Humans, animals, plants, as well as the
Earth, moon and stars partake of these subtle energy fields.
    Kirlian photography as well as the perceptions of psychics,
intuitives and mediums have shown us that these energy fields and
their auric emanations do indeed exist. These energy fields or
auras surround and interpenetrate the human body and express
themselves as great color, pattern and energy movement.
    Within the form of all organized consciousness, within the body
of all sentient beings and within the physical body of all human
beings, then, are conduits, pathways and connections between these
physical and non-physical energy bodies. These connections are
called energy vortices or chakras that spin at different speeds,
connecting to different energy frequencies and therefore connecting
to different dimensions.
    These chakras are connected by a complex web of paths or
circuitry (energy meridians) that connect every part of the body to
every other part as well as to every other subtle (non-physical)
body. This energy gridwork of bio-electric and electro-magnetic
circuitry and major/minor chakras creates the field upon which
energy can move, grow and coalesce. These interdimensional
connections between the subtle bodies vis a vis the chakras exist
for the purpose of energy and information exchange as well as for
co-ordinating the growth and development of the (soul) being
inhabiting the body.
    Just as there are connections or pathways between the different
energy bodies within sentient form and just as there are connections
maintained between the physical and non-physical dimensions through
the chakra and meridian system, there are connections or pathways
and chakras that are located on the body of our planet
Earth-Gaia-Terra that connect it to other dimensions and frequencies
as well.
    Such energy vortices or chakras are more commonly known as power
centers or co-ordinate points and are all connected to and by an
electro-magnetic grid system of "ley" lines. These power centers or
energy sites are the Earth's chakras. And it is around these points
that both natural and man made sacred sites have come into being.
Sedona, Arizona, Niagra Falls, NY, and the Grand Canyon are examples
of natural power centers and sacred sites.
    The pyramids of Giza in Egypt or in Tikal, Quatemala, the Henges
in England, the Towers in Zimbabwe, Africa and the Native American
burial mounds found throughout the United States are all examples of
man made sites developed for spiritual practice and sacred ritual
that were built upon powerful energy centers of the earth.
    Sacred sites have always been created or honored as places of
great power. Used for sacred ritual and prayer, for invocation and
manifestation, they were aids to connecting to other dimensions,
realms and planets and for literally aiding the projection of
consciousness into other dimensions.
    Many sacred sites were created to serve a more earthly purpose,
as well, to function as gigantic calendars, maps and calculating
devices for the peoples of an ancient time. Art. Science and Magic
have all been utilized and developed by the proper use of these
sites.
    These power centers or Earth chakras emanate certain kinds of
energy that can be measure and categorized. It has been determined
that there are three types of energy that coalesce around these
sites; electric, magnetic and electro-magnetic. These energies are
very strong and the frequencies are measurably greater than their
surrounding locales.
    The power of these centers is literally palpable as well as
measurable and one can easily sense the energy in varying degrees
through right attunement, prayer or meditation.
    It has been discovered that by attuning or meditating to the
energies of a sacred site, one can connect and travel to other
dimensions, contact other-dimensional beings, receive psychic
impression from the past, present or future, connect to one's past
lives (alternate focuses), Higher Self, Spirit Guides or Guardian
Angels. Generally speaking, attuning to the energies of a sacred
site, triggers one's expansion of awareness and confirms ones
interconnectedness to other dimensions and realities ultimately
connecting one to the whole. Indeed, it is one of the more profound
experiences that we can have here on the earth and one comes away
from such an experience utterly changed and profoundly moved.
    Page Bryant, in her book, "Terravision," offers an excellent
listing of sacred sites around the world and a more detailed but
certainly not complete list for North America.
    Ms. Bryant also gives excellent advice on how to approach a
sacred site (with the proper attitude and etiquette.) It is
necessary and proper to ask permission and then to state out loud
one's intention before proceeding to the site. One's intention can
be simply to experience the energies or for utilizing the energies
for healing, balancing and energizing or for creating a greater
contact with other dimensional beings and intelligences.
    Once there, one should meditate briefly before entering a sacred
site and again clarify ones purpose for entry. All sites are cared
for by spiritual guardians and the sites in North America ("Turtle
Island" to the indigenous peoples), are cared for by Native American
spirits. So, while at the site, it is proper to give thanks to the
guardian spirit by a ritual show of gratitude. Usually an offering
of fragrant herbs or tobacco will be sufficient. When one leaves,
the site should be in the same condition as one has entered it,
untouched yet revered and honored.
    There are many sacred sites right here in the Philadelphia area,
more specifically within the Fairmount Park system. Such areas as
the Belmont Plateau, the Art Museum area and the Wissahickon Park
harbor sacred energies and sacred sites. The Wissahickon Creek and
surrounding Valley Green are areas that were used by the earlier
Native Americans for tribal meeting places, "look-out" posts, sacred
ritual and for burial ceremonies.
    This area is filled with power spots and there are a number of
areas along the Wissahickon Creek that are highly charged energy
centers or points. (I will let the reader discover them for
him/herself.)
    Another site that is close by is Council Rock in Lorimar Park
right off the Pennypack Creek in Cheltenham Township. Council Rock
is a huge rock formation that was also used as a meeting place by
Native American s and is a lovely environment with very peaceful
energy.
    For more information, it is best to refer to one of the several
excellent books out on the market that describe the sacred sites in

            LEARNING TO BE FREE IN PHILADELPHIA

    To Learn brotherly love is to become free. The Ascended Master
St. Germaine teaches that Philadelphia is the place where the
Freedom Flame is anchored - no irony that the Declaration of
Independence and the Constitution - the only documents that uphold
Freedom as a paramount virtue on the planet- were signed here.
    Freedom is defined as "to be loved as a brother" from the French
root frei- to love. Is it possible that in this City of Brotherly
Love we must uphold the virtue of freedom by learning the lessons of
brotherly love, love for our brothers (and sisters)- regardless of
color, physical characteristics, abilities and beliefs?
    If so, then we are often placed in situations of great
challenge, here in Philadelphia in order to master this value so
that we might truly learn to love one another and allow ourselves to
be-loved so as to be truly free.
    As we are presented with poverty, crowding, racial tension,
corruption in the government, cultural mis-interpretations, etc. It
is our role to meet these challenges and choose how we wish to meet
them, for we do have the ability to create our future (by intention
and thought projection) and we can choose how we create our future
so as to create a better society for ourselves and future
generations.
    Can we not create a perspective of inclusion, integration and,
ultimately, of spiritual community so as to include everyone in this
city?  So that food, clothing, shelter, work and meaningful activity
are provided for everyone within a greater family of community
(com-unity: with unity).
    Perhaps these challenges all begin within ourselves, expanding
to our families and ultimately extending into our schools,
workplaces and cultural institutions.
    I met some of these challenges myself when I moved to
Philadelphia in 1968. This was a year of great racial tensions,
campus riots and the political outcry of both students and the black
community. I was fresh out of school, young and idealistic.
    I have now been in the Philadelphia area now, for 27 years,
raising my children, working and learning in the city, mingling with
the arts community and absorbing myself in social service.  Working
for non-profit institutions, I have been teaching, designing,
administrating, dreaming and planning.
    Over the years, I have searched for ways to help others in need
and have repeatedly "gotten my hands dirty" frantically looking for
ways to solve others problems. Often questioning how God could
create such pain and suffering, I became enmeshed in solving other
people's problems, only to discover that I needed to help myself
first.
    During this time, I left Philadelphia for a brief respite in
Colorado, wanting to move to a kinder, gentler and more aware
community. But I returned. I couldn't leave, I wasn't ready.  I
hadn't learned to be free yet!
    Now I see that the Universe, often with a colossal sense of
humor, arranges all that we need to learn. For I needed to learn
some personal lessons in love and compassion, courage, patience and
justice.
    The first lesson came through a physical accident where the pain
of four broken vertebra taught me how to accept help and love and
offered lessons in perseverance and patience.
    This experience was soon to be outranked by even wiser teachers
- little ones in wheel chairs, who were unable to even hold up their
heads, who really knew courage and possessed an ability to smile
through pain and difficulty. They just wanted to love and be loved
for themselves.
    As we sit on the verge of a new millennium, we are all, again,
looking for God, going within, meditating, spending our precious
time and money on workshops in healing, channeling, meditation and
the ascension.
    I have studied all these topics and these disciplines have given
me an inner peace and quiet - a perspective far different than I had
ten years ago.
    For now, I have found the unconditional love I sought and the
clarity of perspective to see myself dispassionately, from my
ascended friends and spirit guides.
    I am now able to watch myself as a loving observer would as I
traversed my "personal classroom assignments" on this earth plane.
For I have learned that my earth bound lessons are in a "class" of
my own making - my ministry with "Easter Seal" kids and my work with
youth-at-risk, adults and children who have been drawn into my life
through my personal choices and circumstances. It is apparent to me
that the Universal Source seems to know what we really need for my
little "brothers and sisters" have taught me patience and joy,
reflecting the God we are all looking for, the be-loved and the
promise of a (free-er) tomorrow.
    One glorious day I actually saw God in the eyes of a friend as
he comforted me, and I knew I was "home" for God had always been
there but my perspective had changed to accommodate his presence.
    I have gradually healed myself of my pains and afflictions
through intense inner work and healing.  Now, I heal others through
a "laying on of hands" and through workshops on healing and
channeling sessions from my spirit teachers.
    And so, I have been affected by my years here in Philadelphia
and I have grown to really love this city and it's unique
perspective. I have learned that I can find beauty in the graffiti
and trash-laden streets and in the eyes and smiles of the homeless,
indigent and handicapped.
    I often wonder who the real masters are, for now I see that my
greatest learning has come from those I sought to help and that the
challenges of our city provide wonderful spiritual lessons for us
all!

                 A MESSAGE FROM ASTORIEL
               as channeled by Amy Bortner

(The following article is excerpted from a channeled lecture given
on June 9,1995 at the See of Tranquility Center in Allentown, Pa.)

    Good Evening to all of you. This is Astoriel now speaking
through this channeler. I am an angel, a Seraphic angel and one who
has existed for an eternity of time and space and dimension.
    We of the angelic realm have the privilege and the opportunity
to ascertain the various comings and goings of the planet as a whole
for we are given the opportunity to take responsible management for
the comings and goings of the earth plane itself.
    There is a great hierarchy of being that is involved in the
domain and the placement of the earth itself in terms of maintaining
the energies both within and without the planet.
    And there is a great effort on the part of many Angels and Light
Beings to monitor and maintain, to balance and restructure or even
transmute the energy expressions found on various levels of the
planet. This is a great task that many angels find interesting and
challenging to work with. I, Astoriel, have been in charge and in
this capacity to work with these energies for many, many years such
that I am familiar with the comings and goings of energy expressions
found on the earth and around the earth and for the earth from
various levels.
    So that the time of the New Age is a time when we are
introducing new energy frequency patterns literally into and onto
the planet iself. So that there is concomitant reaction on the part
of all humanity, on the part of all consciousness itself, to these
energies.
    And of course, we want to stir things up. We want to trigger
things, we want to catalyze things, we want growth to occur in your
consciousness and awareness!
    What better way to do so than to stimulate your consciousness
just as one would electrically stimulate the growth of a plant or
stimulate the growth of any living thing by introducing light or
sound energy into its energy field. Just so, we stimulate your
consciousness through the introduction of these new energies.
    These energies are the energies of Love, they are
sub-frequencies of the general energy we call Love, such that they
produce within your consciousness, ultimately, an experience of joy,
bliss and ecstasy.
    These energies are frequencies that will generate within your
consciousness an expansion of awareness of the emotion of joy, the
emotion of ecstasy and the emotion of bliss. But in order for this
to occur, you may have to feel some discomfort at first.
    For these emotional capacities that are lying within you are
dormant; they are not yet fully realized. They have to be triggered
into an awakening.
    And in order for these capacities to "trigger", various layers
of emotional blocks have to be released from their realm in order
for you to directly experience this triggering and catalytic effect.
    Many people, now, are beginning to feel the blocks the
repressions, the denials, the distortions and the perversions of
emotion that are covering up, clouding or surrounding these dormant
capacities.
    So that what is appearing in your media now, within the news and
on the television and what you may be experiencing privately within
yourself and perhaps within your family and friends are all the
chaotic emotional and social disruptions that are occurring due to
the fact that these blocks are now being released in an awkward (or
non-awkward) fashion.
    These repressions, distortions and denials are coming to the
surface and are being expressed literally and figuratively amongst
you now, so that you are thinking to yourself "My goodness, what is
going on in the earth today? What is happening to everyone? Has
everyone gone mad?
    What is really happening is that these blocks, denials and
repressions and what we'll say historically the "karmic garbage" of
your history is being released literally into the atmosphere and is
being verbally communicated at physical, mental, social and even
political levels.
    This is being done now to such an extant that you may feel as if
this is a process that will never end. It seems as if issues and
feelings, old memories and attitudes keep coming up and coming up to
be released and coming up again and are continually being expressed
in so many ways by so many people, all the time!
    People are so "trigger happy" these days, or on "pins and
needles" or on a hair trigger level that they seem to be triggered
so easily by things. This is all due to the fact that these
energies are doing this to them and to you!
    Many people who are not prepared for this occurrence, who have
not been spiritually advanced or have acknowledged themselves as
spiritual beings will have a great deal of difficulty assimilating
these energies and allowing themselves to release their blocks in an
easy and graceful manner.
    For those who are aware, however, of their spiritual selves and
purpose, who are aware of the changes that are occurring, who are
being told by myself and by other beings that there are new energies
coming onto the planet that will create a great spiritual awakening,
they will take these changes "into stride".
    They will take these changes more philosophically, if they
cannot take them so emotionally or in an emotionally balanced way.
So that all of you are here, in a sense, to emotionally help each
other out in these times of change in order to stay balanced!
    It is important, now, that all of you come together in groups,
come together in workshops, come together in sessions like this so
that you can compare notes, so to speak, so that you can ask each
other "What is happening to me/ to you? Are you feeling" crazy" or
out of sorts the way I'm feeling?
    As you experience these changes, you will need emotional
feedback from other people around you who are also undergoing the
same processes in order to feel emotionally better about your
personal situation.
    I wanted to speak about this topic for I felt it was important
for you to get a re-confirmation of your own perceptions about what
is going on in your own life at this time. You may have thought
that something was going on because the influx of energies felt as
if they were accelerating, (and they are!) and that you were feeling
a little more jittery than usual.
    You may have been looking for new and different ways to calm
yourself down so as to stay balanced and to maintain a sense of
'normalcy'.
    Experience the 'jitteryness', shall we say it, and do not be
afraid of it! Do not be afraid of the energy that you are
experiencing! For this energy experience gives you an opportunity
to master, control and utilize this energy for constructive purpose!
    You can constructively work with this energy by learning how to
ground this energy, to ground this energy (as best as you can!)
through your body and into the earth.
    For the earth needs this energy as much as you do! We are, now,
sending a lot of this energy to specific individuals who in their
fashion will ground the energy into the earth for us.
    So that many of you have been deemed transmitters or human
'beamers' of this energy (not only to other people), but to the
planet itself. So understand that you have a responsibility or an
opportunity, now to ground this energy into the earth and you can do
this through the various grounding processes that you have already
learned through your spiritual practices such as meditation,
visualization, dancing, drumming or even walking.
    I suggest that you come together to do this as a group, now, -
to meditate together and to visualize together and to ground your
energies, as a whole, into the earth. (And this will also help
relieve the "jitteryness" that you are feeling!)
    This will also help increase the amount of love energy being
sent to the earth itself, so that it may not have to undergo so many
changes," earth changes" if you will, in order to reconcile its own
releasing of negativity from its past and from its depths. For the
earth has been pulling in energies from all sources, all peoples and
all dimensions for eons!
    This grounding process will prove to be inspirational and
visionary, for by literally grounding these new (Love) energies into
the earth itself, you will be healing the entire planet!
    So now, I will suggest a visualization for you to do in order to
accomplish this task:
    "First, visualize yourself as a group together inside a bubble
of white light (as if you are floating in a cloud/ bubble of light.)
Sense the white light all around you and inside you as well. Sense
the peace and contentment you feel.
    Visualize a golden cord coming down from the top of the cloud
bubble of light and attaching itself to the top of your head. (You
are now connected to the Angelic dimension by this connecting cord.)
    Then, visualize a peachy pink and gold energy pouring down from
the Angelic dimension, down through this golden cord into the top of
your heads and down through the rest of your bodies.
    See it continuing down through your bodies and pouring out
through the bottoms of your feet, which in turn are (astrally )
extending down through the earth through long threads or astral
cords.
    See this energy being sent down through these cords into the
center of the earth in which there lies within the center a literal
(and symbolic) crystal of which then, these energies can be absorbed
and then re-transmitted in its capacity.
    Visualize then, these energies as being transformed by the
crystal into frequencies that can be re-transmitted through the
earth and/or back up through these astral cords and back up through
your bodies and back up into the atmosphere once again. Repeat this
visualization several times."
    This is a visualization that you could and should do as a group
on a weekly or monthly basis, so that you can begin to express and
release these energies in a
