::: MAITREYA'S APPEARANCES WORLDWIDE :::

What follows is a partial list of Maitreya's appearances up until

::: IN KENYA WITH MAITREYA :::

JOURNEY TO NAIROBI -- FIVE DAYS WITH MARY AKATSA
  by Memo Neupert

In the September 1988 issue of SHARE INTERNATIONAL we printed a report
on Maitreya's appearance, out of the blue, at one of Mary Akatsa's
healing meetings in Nairobi, Kenya. Memo Neupert, SHARE INTERNATIONAL
co-worker in Hamburg, Germany, recently visited Mary Akata i her home
village, and reports below.

In the years since Maitreya's appearance in Nairobi, Kenya -- on 11
June 1988 -- at one of Mary Akatsa's healing meetings, I had been keen
to visit the place where Maitreya appeared, and to meet the healer,
Mary Akatsa, herself. Mary is the woman dressed in blue who stands
next to Maitreya in the famous photograph, first published in KENYA
TIMES on 22 June that year. [See SHARE INTERNATIONAL web site:
http://www.hooked.net/shareint/]

In January 1994 I flew to Nairobi with photographer Uwe Piotrowski, a
member of the Hamburg Transmission Meditation group, on the last leg
of a round-trip taking in Tlacote, Mexico, in November, and Nadana,
India, in December, 1993, where we visited the well-known healing
springs.

In Nairobi everyone knew Mami (Mother Mary) and referred us to the
Jerusalem Church of Christ in Kawangware. Once there, we had the
privilege of attending one of Mary's regular healing sessions. There
was much drum-beating and dancing, and during the four-hour ceremony
Mary came to greet us. We witnessed the healing of a woman who was
very ill with a cancerous tumour clearly visible on the bare upper
part of her body. She had to walk through the church area, then Mary
placed her right hand on her head, spat on the diseased part and the
woman was healed. Later a man was brought in who had been mentally
deranged for 16 years; Mary healed him and he was able to walk away
after 15 minutes.

We had hoped to arrange an interview, but unfortunately there was no
time because Mary had to go up-country to the funeral of a church
member in another location, but when she discovered that she would not
be back in Nairobi before the time of our return flight, she invited
us to accompany her: "Would you like to travel with Mami?" she asked,
and we immediately accepted. Thereupon she placed an interpreter/guide
at our disposal and moved us out of our hotel to her own modest house,
situated in a remote area outside the town. There Mary livs imply --
the congregation brings water, and the generator is switched on only
at night -- and looks after some 20 sick or homeless people, providing
them with food and clothing and supporting them financially.

Mary Sinaida Akatsa is a simple, uncomplicated and spontaneous woman.
She is delicately built, some 4 ft 6 inches tall, with beautiful
shining eyes and a childlike, open smile, which is full of love.
Charming and cheerful, she is always anxious that people should enjoy
being with her. She says that Christ has sent her, because she is the
best channel for Him to use.

Mary had hired two buses to take the 160 church members and the
surviving family to the funeral in Kwiselo. Apart from financing the
funeral she will pay board and lodging and school fees for the
dependants of the deceased. While we waited with Mary for the owner of
the buses to arrive, a drunken man came to the car and asked Mary to
pray with him. She lovingly declined, saying that because he was drunk
the prayer would not reach God. The request was repeated and again
Mary declined. Suddenly, the man fell to his knees. Mary placed her
right hand on his head and prayed with him; he became sober and went
away relieved.

The journey proceeded to Kwiselo with two full buses and the coffin on
one of the roof-racks. Throughout the journey, Mary was protected by
four bodyguards, because as soon as people recognize her they rush
towards her. On the way there was powerful singing, and during a stop
at a petrol station everyone danced -- even I, the stiff Westerner.

The songs were rhythmic and melodious, the rhythm entered my limbs,
so that I just had to sing, clap and dance -- to Mary's great joy. I
learned how important it is to experience the joy of spirituality in
the body itself. Mary showed me physical movements and steps which at
first seemed easy, but feet and hands are difficult to coordinate and
eventually move out of rhythm.

Mary looked after us lovingly during the trip, distributing foo and
drink as needed. We drove through the most beautiful parts of Kenya --
tea plantations, orchards and forests; there were many zebra on the
plains and pink clouds of flamingo by Lake Victoria -- until, by
evening, we arrived at the house of one of Mary's sisters where we
were to spend the night. Mary told us that she had been able to cure
her sister's husband who had been all but killed by the ministrations
of a voodoo sorcerer.

On the Sunday, all church members were dressed in white with blue
stripes on collar and belt and on the men's caps. These are the
colours of Mary's church, and whenever she sees a man in Nairobi so
dressed she approaches him and greets him warmly.

We reached Kwiselo to find the funeral already in full swing. Suddenly
I noticed that Mary had become very withdrawn. When this happens,
something special takes place. All at once, the sky clouded over, and
the congregation was thus protected from the parching sun. The clouds
remained until the celebration was at an end and the temperature more
bearable.

Again there was singing and dancing, and Mary gave a sermon.
Afterwards she fetched several men and women out of the audience to
give them messages. She told a good-looking African woman to stop
being a prostitute, since she could contract AIDS. "I know you like
being a prostitute," Mary said, "but take my words seriously." The
woman, however, appeared unmoved.

After the messages, church members formed a double row headed by a
woman with the church banner and men carrying the coffin. Then came
the dependants. The coffin was swung, people sang, danced and clapped
on the way to the grave, into which the coffin was lowered without the
use of ropes, and covered with brushwood. The congregation sang while
the grave was filled in with earth. Mary presented the relatives with
a bag of corn, flour and other provisions which they would need to
keep the wake going for the customary four

For some years Mary Akatsa worked as a priestess in different
churches, but being clairvoyant she could recognize the dishonesty of
the bishops, and told them so. Thus, she was dismissed, and even today
the churches choose not to work with her; so she has formed her own
church.

As we neared the end of our guided tour of Mary's life, it was already
dark, and she pointed to a star which had constantly accompanied us, a
star which then stood over her house. I could feel the strong love
energy radiated by the star, and asked to know its name. Mary smiled,
and said nothing.

Next morning, our last day, Mary was ready for the interview, which
she asked us to keep as short as possible. The interview which follows
took place on 31 January 1994.

Memo Neupert: What happened on 11 June 1988?

Mary Akatsa: We were continuing with our healing session when suddenly
there was a strong wind. We did not know what had happened. And then,
out of the blue, someone stood beside me who touched my heart and
spoke to me.

MN: What did he say to you?

M: "You are an important messenger of God. I bring you this message:
Keep on preaching, never retreat."

MN: How did the people react as they saw the Christ standing in front
of you?

M: Well, when he appeared people had no idea what had happened. Many
of them fell down. After he had appeared, people started crying and
repenting of their sins. Since that day, people have come to
Kawangware in big numbers, repenting their sins, getting healed and
being saved. So it continues until now. But it is not me who heals, it
is the power of God that heals through me.

MN: During the session we saw people running up and down along a
certain pathway. We have heard that the Christ imesses people to do
this.

M: Jesus said: "I have put my cloth here at the end of this path, and
whoever comes to this place -- perhaps with sickness or demons or
other problems -- should run along that path. Then, when he comes back
and looks at you, Mami, all his problems, all sins, all the
difficulties which worried him, will go and he will be healed and will
be fit henceforth."

MN: How did he disappear?

M: We actually did not know exactly what happened. After holding my
hand for a while he just disappeared, within a minute.

MN: Has he appeared to you again in physical form, since that day?

M: Since that day God speaks to me through my ears just in the same
way as you can hear somebody speaking to you. It is very loud. On my
eyes appears a sort of screen, and I am told: Look at a certain side
(in a certain direction) -- there is someone, maybe, in the
congregation -- look at him. The message is written on his chest. Then
I can read all the problems he might have, where the problems come
from, and I ask for him to get saved and he gets healed. I get the
message directly from God.

MN: Does the Christ give you teachings as well as healing through you?

M: Yes.

MN: What did he mean about the future when he said: "the world would
be no more" (as mentioned in the KENYA TIMES article)?

M: He never said that.

MN: Did he say when he would return again with the bucket of
blessings?

M: No.

MN: What were the Hebrew words the Christ uttered as a blessing to the
crowds (in Job Mutungi's article wrongly described as a curse)?

M: It was not a curse but a message only meant for Mami.

MN: Is the cloth the Christ left on the path still in existence?

M: It is still there.

MN: Is the star over Mami's place the one that appeared before the
Christ's coming, and has it been there ever since?

M: Yes.

MN: Do you go into trance when you are healing? Do you feel the
Christ's energies flowing through you? Are you aware of what is gon on
when you are healing or does the Christ take over your body?

M: Mami changes when the power goes through. She's absolutely in
trance. She doesn't recognize individuals. A screen covers her eyes
and messages appear on people's chests.

MN: Are there people you cannot heal, and if so what do you do for
them?

M: Yes. I leave it to God to do what He wishes.

MN: Is there a significance in the blue colour of the garment you
wear?

M: Jesus gave me the colours blue and white. This cloth plays a
significant role in our identification as the children of God with one
faith. Even when Moses was taken over into the Pharaoh's palace to be
brought up as an Egyptian, he only believed his true identity because
of the cloth his mother had hidden in the basket. So we always
identify our togetherness through this cloth.

MN: Has crime decreased here since your work began?

M: Yes. So many criminals are now my devoted children.

MN: What role does your husband play in your work?

M: My husband helps me with implementation of church projects.

MN: Do foreigners and white people come to your healings?

M: Yes. So many foreigners come from Asia, Europe, America and other
parts of Africa.

MN: Have you met the President?

M: Yes. He is one of my sons.

MN: Mary, I thank you very much for this interview.

M: I thank you very much for coming here, and we thank God for giving
us this opportunity.

::: "I SAW JESUS AT KAWANGWARE" :::

A report by Agnes Mutua who was present at Maitreya's appearance in
Nairobi.

I was present and sat in a row along the path. Mary stood in the
middle. She just wanted to give a very short speech because she wanted
to join Reverend Bonnke who had given the announcement: "Jesus is
coming to Nairobi".

I was looking at my watch, it was nearly 2pm, and she was not going.
It was 2.20 pm when I saw her calling someone to introduce to the
gathering. I was struck in my heart: the person who came along looked
like Jeus

Then I heard Mary saying that she got a message from God to stay, the
MESSENGER is near. She told him to say hello and he greeted us in
Swahili.

He looked like a Sikh -- very light, brownish, golden skin, with
sparkling eyes full of light, looking up and down. His hands were
radiating light. He started speaking: "You, Kenyans, are blessed by
God." Then he told Mary that he was sent by his Father to tell her
that there is a place near Luanda called Abusiralu where he was told
to put up a peg where she will build another church. Kawangware will
be the mother church. In that church many ill people will be healed.
You will find a lot of people harassing you, but my Father will give
power to you to deal with these people.

Then he told her to take out of his pocket a golden cross. As Mary
took it out, she saw that there were many of them in his pocket, but
his gown was not showing a mark; it was straight. Mary showed the
cross to the people. Then it vanished. Then he slowly left, he moved
along the path. I touched his gown. I asked him to bring back my
husband.

He gave me a very sad look. Mr. Gurmam Singh offered him a lift. At 56
Stage II -- this is very near to my house -- he asked Mr. Singh to
drop him out. As he disappeared, a big shining star with rainbow
colours rose up to heaven. All the neighbours and my children saw it,
and they have no doubt that Jesus had come to Kawangware. This star
can be seen during Mary's healing sessions at Kawangware. Since that
time I have changed. I am not attached to my husband any more.

So help comes from everywhere. My faith is strengthened, I know Jesus
is looking after me and my children.

INTERNATIONAL magazine.]

::: QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS WITH BENJAMIN CREME :::

Q. Why, if Maitreya appears before 600 or even more people at a
meeting of a religious group in Britain -- as in Edinburgh and York --
do we see nothing about it in the media?

A. The peoplebefre whom He appears are in every case fundamentalists
of one persuasion or another. Denominationally they vary tremendously
but the consistent factor is that they are all extremely dogmatic in
their beliefs. Maitreya appears to them to soften them up. These are
the groups from whom, throughout the world, he expects the major
opposition and rejection. If he appears as The World Teacher and they
are expecting the Teacher in their own terms -- as the Christ,
Maitreya Buddha, Krishna, the Imam Mahdi, the Messiah -- with their
very fixed views, they would be inclined to reject him.

The most important thing is the creation of the healing waters, which
is done first. When Maitreya has magnetized the waters, in due course
-- it might take a few weeks -- he finds a group of fundamentalists in
a town nearby and appears before them. He speaks to them in their own
language and many healings take place during the process. He does not
say: "I am Maitreya" "I am the Christ" or "I am the Imam Mahdi", he
just appears, out of the blue, but in a form which they will recognize
-- as he did in Nairobi in Kenya, on 11 June 1988, an appearance of
which we have photographs.

Maitreya leaves it to the groups, in the thoughtform in which he has
appeared to them, to recognize him or not. Some of them will say:
"Beware, it could be the Antichrist: before the Christ comes, the
Antichrist is coming." That is why they do not speak out and, if they
do not speak, the media does not speak.

Occasionally at these meetings there have been representatives of
religious newspapers who do not write about it. Why not? I think
they do not know what to do with this information: it is too hot.
Either they believe it is the Christ or they believe it is the
Antichrist; or they are mystified because he has not said who he is.
Perhaps 80 per cent of the people believe they had an experience of
the Christ, or the Mahdi, or the Messiah -- whomever it happened to be
-- and they are perfectly content to accept tha andjust wait for
something more to happen in connection with it. That must do
something to their awareness, even if they do not talk about it except
among themselves. When eventually they see Maitreya on television
they will say: "That's the one who appeared to us -- perhaps he is all
right after all; perhaps he is not the Antichrist."

The appearance in Nairobi was reported and photographed because the
editor of the Swahili edition of the KENYA TIMES was present and wrote
it up. It was picked up by various media and was a two-day wonder
around the world. The media in general, as ordinary men and women,
are deeply, profoundly skeptical, and professionally, not only
skeptical, but cynical in the extreme.

::: MAITREYA APPEARS IN BRICK LANE AND AT THE WHITECHAPEL MOSQUE :::
    by Patricia Pitchon

On Thursday 27 April 1995, a Frenchman from Perpignan named Henri
Schmitt visited my home. He told me he had been reading SHARE
INTERNATIONAL magazine for five years, and also Benjamin Creme's
books. He had started a transmission meditation group and, aside from
his business duties, worked on a daily basis for the homeless in
Perpignan and had started a job creation project. He had recently
arrived in London and had been to Brick Lane for several days with the
picture of Maitreya taken in Nairobi, asking many people if they knew
this man. On Wednesday 26 April, he had a fascinating encounter in
Hanbury Street, around the corner from Brick Lane, and wrote a letter
to SHARE INTERNATIONAL and to Mr. Creme which I have translated as
follows:

Dear Sir, I am leaving London tomorrow, Saturday 29 April. On
Wednesday 26 April, at 2:15 pm, I was in Hanbury Street and entered a
restaurant and tea-shop with sober and functional furniture.

A man in a pale grey Western suit was sitting there, drinking tea. He
was apparently from India; suddenly, nothing but his eyes drew my
attention. In this gaze I felt such truth, peaceful and serene.

Without wishing to be discourteous, I sat down with my ack t him, but
this inexplicable impression grew on me. Feeling his gaze on my back,
I turned around and, looking into his eyes, suddenly I felt serene,
peaceful, so secure that without explaining my gesture I showed him
the photograph of Maitreya taken in Nairobi in 1988 and asked him if
he had seen this man. He answered that he saw him very occasionally in
Brick Lane, and now and again in the Jamme Mosque in Brick Lane, and
also at the Whitechapel Mosque. I asked him whether he knew when there
would be a meeting, and he answered Friday night. Then I turned around
again; I was so happy with this answer that for a moment I was
incapable of doing anything at all. Nevertheless a question arose
again in me: who is this man who impresses me so deeply? Was it the
Lord Maitreya? Are you able to confirm or to refute this?

Henri Schmitt:

What drew my attention was Henri's verbal description during his
visit: he said the man was simply dressed yet very elegant, and that
his eyes were very special. I had known countless people who had gone
to Brick Lane over the years, but none of them had ever received
confirmation of Maitreya there, much less knowledge of His
whereabouts. I telephoned Mr. Creme on Henri's behalf, and Mr. Creme's
master confirmed that this man was Maitreya himself.

My husband and I arranged to accompany Henri on Friday 28 April to the
Whitechapel Mosque, because he said the man in the tea-shop had
emphasized that mosque rather than the Jamme Mosque. I telephoned a
Muslim journalist and friend from India to inquire about the time and
form of the evening prayers, so that we would be appropriately dressed
and would be able to conduct ourselves respectfully. I felt a bit
uneasy because I knew there would be few women at the Magrib evening
prayer, and I was not sure it was even appropriate for me to go.

We went first to the tea-shop in Hanbury Street and then set out for
the mosque. We took off our shoes as we entered, and I was shown to
the ladies' prayer rooms upstairs, while Henri and my husband entered
the great prayer hall downstairs. Upstairs I found the women's main
prayer hall, laid out with beautiful green rugs and arched screens
through which I could observe the proceedings, but the doors to the
hall were locked. A kindly lady from Bangladesh, who was the religious
teacher for girls, sent one of her children for the keys, but they
could not be found. The teacher and I chatted for a while; then she
had to leave. I thought I should not remain upstairs alone, that
perhaps I should leave the mosque, but I had to find a way to send a
message to Henri and my husband, since I could not enter the men's
prayer hall. The teacher asked her daughter to accompany me downstairs
to an office to talk to an official of the mosque.

I was led to a foyer, with a glass door leading to an office. I peered
through the glass and was struck by the sight of a very tall, imposing
man clad entirely in white who seemed to be leaning down to fix his
shoe. He was seated behind a desk, and he exuded so much power that I
was dumbfounded. I could not see his face, but I wondered who it was.
Perhaps the Imam of the mosque? Or could it be Maitreya? The official
seated opposite this man quickly came out and ushered me gently away
from the office. I explained my predicament and he went in search of
Henri and my husband. We agreed I should wait for them at the Clifton
restaurant in Brick Lane and they went back to the prayer hall.

When we were reunited in the restaurant, Henri told me that during
prayers his attention was constantly drawn to a very tall, beautiful-
looking man standing a few feet behind him. He had fearless eyes. This
man did not look at Henri, but Henri uld not stop looking at him. My
husband said he felt a very strong energy and an atmosphere of strong
devotion during prayers. I told them about the man I had seen in the
office. I asked my husband for a description of the Imam who had led
the prayers, and evidently the man in the office was someone else. I
kept repeating that this man was powerful, there was something
extraordinary about him. Could it have been Maitreya? We also wondered
about the man Henri had seen in the prayer hall. Was he Maitreya?
Henri's comment at this point was: "If I have actually seen him twice
in one week I will be overwhelmed. This has been the most important
week of my life. This is going to encourage me to work so much harder
on behalf of all those poor people I have been trying to help."

(Benjamin Creme's Master has confirmed that Maitreya indeed appeared
on these three occasions: in the tea-shop in Hanbury Street, in the
office at the mosque, and in the prayer hall.)

::: LETTERS TO SHARE INTERNATIONAL: EXPERIENCES OF MAITREYA :::

Note: The date of the Share International issue in which the letter
appeared is printed at the very end of each letter.

Dear Editors,

I was just coming from a church and was walking near the shops by
Clapham Common in London. The next thing I knew I bumped right into an
Indian-looking man. As I looked up to apologize to him, I was
overcome. He looked straight at me and he had the most piercing blue
eyes I've ever seen. He seemed to gaze right through me and I felt a
sudden surge go through my body. He looked at me for about half a
minute without speaking. He was wearing a turban and had some sort of
robe draped over his body. In fact, it quite reminded me of how you
see some images of Christ in pictures and paintings. He also carried
in his hand a rather long wooden staff and a small book and had a kind
of rucksack tied over his shoulder. On his feet were sandals. As he
walked away, I thought I have to turn back and go and speak to him. I
felt that there was oething I wanted to ask him. As I turned around I
saw him enter a sweet shop. I walked back and I, too, entered the
shop. But to my surprise this man, whom I had just seen enter the
shop, had disappeared. I could not believe it. If you had seen the way
this man was dressed -- carrying a wooden staff, it was just amazing,
he looked like something from times gone past. His eyes I will never
forget. I have never seen such eyes and that day will always remain
with me.

Please, who is this man? Could you please give your comment about my
experience. I would be grateful. (Name and address supplied) (Benjamin
Creme's master confirms the man with the staff to be Maitreya.) 8/94

Dear Editors,

One Sunday in the church which myself and my husband attend, an Indian
gentleman walked in and came up to my husband. He said to him, handing
over a large bag of rice: "Please give this to the poor". Could you
tell us if this was some sort of sign from Maitreya?

Many thanks.

Dear Editors,

In June 1990 I suffered a stroke which left me paralysed down my left
side. I can manage walking, more or less, but my left arm and hand
aren't really functional. As you can imagine, this makes life somewhat
difficult. I am in the habit of asking "Above" for help and healing.
This is what happened to me:

On Friday 30.11.93 I went to Mass to pray for my late sister-in-law
and was moving back to my place after receiving Holy Communion when I
looked towards the back of the church where a young man of
approximately 45-50 was sitting alone in the middle of a pew. He had
an unusually warm, friendly, sympathetic, honest face. He appeared to
wink at me, slowly and with much emphasis as if he were trying to
encourage and comfort me -- at least that is how I took it. The memory
and the image stayed with me for days. I suddenly thought: Maitreya.
Could it really be so? With grateful thanks. Nae and address
supplied.)

Dear Editors,

Many events drew me into the knowledge of the Spiritual Hierarchy and
the teachings of the Masters, especially from 1986 onward. I was drawn
to books, groups, teachings, conferences, etc. This information was so
inspiring that I began adding it to the classes I taught for the Board
of Continuing Education System in Fairport, New York. One evening in
October, 1990, I was teaching the students an exercise in meditation.

Suddenly I saw a tall man dressed in white standing off to the right
of my desk. He did not say anything but appeared to be pleased that
the students were learning about the Spiritual Hierarchy and doing
this meditation. At the end of the meditation, I asked the students,
as always, if they would like to share what they had experienced. By
this time, the tall stranger was gone but there were two students who
saw him at the same time I did during the meditation. We knew the
stranger was from the Spiritual Hierarchy and determined that he was
Maitreya. Mary Gemming, Florida, USA

stranger" was, indeed, Maitreya.) 5/94

Dear Editors,

A friend of mine called me during the middle of January 1994 to relate
the following experience:

"A Dominican lady who resides in Queens, NY, and works in Long Island,
was returning home from work about 5 pm. The weather in New York had
been extremely cold with icy conditions. She saw a man on the highway
asking for a ride. She continued without paying attention to him, but
suddenly "something" was urging her to return and pick up this man.
After passing two exits she was compelled to return, which she
couldn't understand because she was alone and had never picked up
anyone before.

When she got to the area the man was still there. He got in and sat in
the back of her car. The details of the conversation were not elaed to
me, but among what he said, he mentioned that the Christ was in the
world.

When the lady looked back, the man had vanished. She panicked and
stopped at the hard shoulder. The police came and asked what had
happened and when she related the story they told her she was the
fourth person to relate the same."

I do hope that you may be able to find out from your Master if this
man was Lord Maitreya.

Edith Falk.

Maitreya.) 5/94

Dear Editors,

Whilst staying in Glastonbury at the end of July 1993, a visit was
made to the Anglican Church of St. John the Baptist. On a table inside
the church, I noticed a single piece of paper surrounded by leaflets
of various kinds. On reading the words, I was curious to know more
about it, and enquired of one of the ladies on duty in the church. She
told a rather remarkable story which I repeat below.

Towards the end of the main Sunday Eucharist on the Feast of Pentecost
1993, five separate members of the congregation seated in different
parts of the church began to 'speak in tongues'. This had never
happened before in this church to her knowledge, and she was present
when it happened. None of the individuals concerned were familiar with
this experience. As far as is known all were regular members of the
congregation. One of the men who 'spoke in tongues' in particular was
very disturbed and upset by the totally involuntary nature of the
experience.

At the end of the service, each separately and without any contact
with the other speakers was asked to write down the meaning of the
words that had been 'placed in their mouths'. In all respects, they
were identical apart from slight errors in spelling. I asked if I
could have or make a copy of it. I was given the copy on the table.
Although it was called a 'prophecy' by the people of St. John's,
perhaps it could be described as an'affirmation' or a 'heralding'.

The text reads as follows:

I AM equipping you, I AM halin you, I AM leading you, but UNLESS
you draw near to Me I cannot feed you. UNLESS you come to Me, I cannot
heal you. UNLESS you empty yourself, I cannot fill you. My people,
there is still hardness in your hearts; hardness from anger, hardness
caused by putting yourself in My rightful place. REPENT of this
hardness. TURN to Me again and live. COME that I may renew you in
body, mind and spirit. COME to Me that I may heal you. COME to Me that
I may equip you that I may send you out by the Power of My Spirit to
RELEASE those bound by fear, to PROCLAIM forgiveness and to SHOW love
to all people. My children, I AM coming to you.

M.N. Fletcher, Dover, Kent, UK. (Benjamin Creme's Master confirms that
the message was placed simultaneously in the minds of the five members
by Maitreya.) 4/94

Dear Editors,

I wonder if it is possible for you to answer the following question
related to the physical presence of Maitreya on 7 February 1992.

At the time, I was not aware of your writings or had any knowledge of
the actual 'return' of the Christ to the everyday world; I had read
Alice Bailey's _The Reappearance of the Christ_ previous to this
experience though. It is only through hindsight and the picture
postcard of Maitreya's Nairobi appearance that I feel prompted to
write this letter.

On the night of Friday 7 February 1992 I stayed at the Tekels Park
Guest House in Camberley, Surrey. Apart from one other student, I was
aware of no other resident guests that evening. A little later in the
evening, I was looking at some books on display in the main corridor
leading to the dining and meeting rooms.

I became aware suddenly of someone walking towards and past me whose
demeanour I found interesting. He was dressed from head to foot in
white robes, with a white headdress or turban. He was Indian in
appearance, with a small beard, fairly tall and of average build. I
noticed the intensity of the whiteness of his robes. This, and the
fact that he wore no other colours, intrigued m. I d not think that he
entered the building from the outside; his entrance through two sets
of double doors would have been easily heard by myself. I was not
aware of him as a guest in the house before seeing him. He walked into
the dining room towards a group of other people. Some time later I saw
him approaching the glass doors of the dining room, probably intending
to leave. I did not wish to intrude, and so walked back to my room. I
felt curious about the man, and mentioned it to a friend at the time.
This experience has remained in my mind, if only because of his
unusual dress. I have never sought to relate this man to any specific
person -- and most certainly not the Christ!

It is only now that I have become aware of your writings, and have
seen the picture of Maitreya's Nairobi appearance, that I feel that my
experience may have been more unusual than I first thought. In
retrospect, I feel that the individual I saw was perhaps a little
thinner-faced, with more prominent cheekbones. The style of dress and
the intense whiteness of his robes seem almost identical, although I
saw them in motion rather than stationary.

My question therefore is: is it possible to confirm or to deny at this
time that this man was indeed Maitreya?

Mrs J. M. Munt, Kent, UK.

was, indeed, Maitreya.)4/94

Dear Editors,

My wife and I were in Switzerland on holiday and were travelling by
car when we got lost. Two people passed and I got out of the car to
ask them if they could give us directions, but it was apparent that
none of us spoke the others' language. Then I turned around and saw
someone with a sports bicycle who seemed to be waiting for me.

As I looked at him he put his hand out to me. I looked into his eyes -
- eyes as deep as a lake. Never in my life have I seen such eyes. I
told him where we were headed and he told me the way. As

---

I thanked him I touched his shoulder and wished him a pleasant day. He
smiled at me and wished me the same.

Now comes the amazing part of my story: I got back into the car, waved
goodbye to him and began to drive off; looking in the rear-view mirror
as I did so, I realized that he had disappeared. He could not have
left the road either to the left or right, there was no space for
that. If he had gone either forwards or backwards I would still have
been able to see him. My wife, too, witnessed this. He was nowhere to
be seen. The date was 22 August 1993. (We were near a place called
Roorehard.)

Could you please tell me if it was the Lord Maitreya that we saw? On
the 20 August 1993 I had a premonition, so to speak, that I would see
Maitreya during that holiday. (I have some paranormal/psychic
ability.)

Yours sincerely,

(name and address supplied)

Dear Editors,

On 5 December,1993 at a park in Overland Park, Kansas, USA, I was
walking my dog and twice on the path I passed a woman who seemed very
unusual. Both times we passed she looked directly at me and said:
"Hi".

She was Caucasian and young. Her face was so full of love and joy, I
found myself looking back at her after we passed. The expression on
her face filled me with warmth. I wanted to follow her! At first I
thought she was just a woman I was attracted to. I'm not sure if that
was all it was or if there was some other reason. I felt such a strong
connection to her. Maybe I'm just imagining something. I need
enlightenment on this matter.

Thanks! Kenneth J. Gates, Overland Park, Kansas, USA.

Dear Editors,

At 2am on 14 November 1993, I fell into a light dreamy sleep.
Suddenly, I woke and above me appeared an image of Christ: a white
robe, wide sleeves and a soft effervescent glow. I checked to be sure
I was really awake as I was quite startled; and indeed I was awake; my
eyes were open. The image stayed for about 5-6 seconds -- it seemed a
very long time. At one point I noticed a white cloth draped over his
hands in front of him. Then I saw his arms at his sides and he moved
like an angel in front of me -- then disappeared. Then I saw a soft
triangle of light for a few seconds -- then a very bright white light
for only a brief second and it too disappeared.

Was this an authentic experience of Maitreya? My impression was that
it was. Did it have any special meaning? Olinda Vriend, Vancouver BC,
Canada.

Maitreya.] 1/94

Dear Editor,

In autumn 1990 I had the following dream. I was in a corridor and saw
a man in a long robe. When I reached forward, he embraced me and I
felt love flowing through my heart.

It was an extraordinary feeling, like meeting an old friend. Later
during that day I heard the program with Mr Creme on Canadian radio
for the first time.

On the next day I decided to write to CBC Radio for more information.
I put paper and pen on the table, but I hesitated. Then a red point of
light appeared, a reflection in one of the downtown buildings. The
light changed its colour slowly through the whole spectrum and
disappeared.

I immediately wrote and sent that letter, thinking that it was a
confirmation of your claim that the World Teacher has returned. Was
this an experience of Maitreya?

Dear Editors,

Two members in our Transmission Group had an experience in which they
saw a man in the room "trying to tell them something". They sw him
with their inner vision.

Could you please tell us if this presence was real? And, if it was
real, who is the man? What did he wish to communicate? From a
Transmitter in St Gallen, Switzerland.

Dear Editor,

In October 1991 in the eating section of the Mall in Paramus, New
Jersey, I had the feeling there was someone behind me listening to my
conversation with my mother-in-law. The topic was starving children.

As I was leaving I was curious enough to look to see who it was. It
was a man sitting down about one table from mine. East Indian looking,
clean cut and Americanized clothing. There was something different
about this person. Something that I never sensed about anyone in my
life before and this was just in passing.

He looked up at me as if he was waiting for me, it seemed he wanted to
tell me something but he didn't say anything. He was "happy" as though
he had exciting news and his eyes, such kindness and gentleness. He
was strange! Yet he was beautiful.

As I thought about going over to him he looked down at the table and
then looked up again at me as if he knew what I was thinking. I just
nodded my head in Hello or Goodbye and left.

Since that time I cannot forget this person. Who was he? Maitreya? Or
is this all glamour? Desiree Vasquez, Kearny, New Jersey, USA.

indeed Maitreya.] 12/93

Dear Editor,

In 1989, I took a series of photographs in the German city of Essen.
My objective was to depict the hopelessness and emptiness of a big
city. After I developed the photos, something unexpected appeared on
one of them. Although I believed that I was alone when I had taken the
picture of an empty escalator, now a figure in bright white appeared.

On 8 March 1992, I visited a friend, a student at Heidelberg, who was
living in a university dormitory. At the end of my visit, on the way
to the front door, I passe b the adjoining room. The door was ajar and
I could see inside a young Asian-looking man with short black hair and
light brown skin. As far as I can remember, he was bending over his
suitcase which was on the bed. It seemed to me that he was doing
something with its contents -- perhaps packing or unpacking. In these
few seconds as I looked into the room, he stopped his work and smiled
at me. His eyes were very, very special. I didn't think about it any
further because I assumed that he was my friend's new room-mate. Three
weeks later, when my friend visited me, I asked who this person in the
other room was. His response was sheer surprise. He assured me that no
person was there at the time. His room-mate, he explained, was a
German and had been on vacation during the week of my visit.

Two months later I attended a lecture about "the Maitreya story" for
the first time. Xxxxxx Xxxxxxxx, Munich, Germany

[Editor's note: Benjamin Creme's Master has confirmed that the figure
in white (in the first account) was the Master Jesus. The "young man"
in the room in Heidelberg was Maitreya.] 12/93
