Acronym/Abbreviations List
This is a list of acronyms and abbreviations commonly found is
writings about psychic abilities. This list will grow as I read
more. Any additions or corrections can be mailed to jgable@imsa.
edu and I will fix them.
TK Telekinesis
OOBE Out of Body Experience
AP Astral projection
PSIONICS Use of psychic abilities to affect the
physical world
PSIONICIST A person who does psionics
PSYCHIC ABILITIES Percieving or receiving information
without the use of the 5 commonly known
senses
PSIONIC ABILITIES Causing things to happen in the physical
world; projective skills
AP, ASTRAL PROJECTION Awareness of an energy world where
thoughts create the shape and substance
of that world; can be aware of it and the
physical world at the same time
ASTRAL PLANE The energy world refered to above; common
laws of physics don't apply there;
distance is often not continuous
OOB, OUT OF BODY (experience) Separating the awareness (soul)
from the physical body and traveling as
energy in the physical world
ETHERIAL PROJECTION Awareness of the body and somewhere else
in the physical world at the same time;
feels similar to astral projection except
that the extra awareness is of the
physical world, not the astral plane
TELEPATHY Thought communication in pictures or
language between two people
EMPATHY Emotion communiction between two people
TELEKINESIS Use of psionic abilities to move objects
in the physical world
PEOPLE Any intelligent entity physical or not
LINK, CONNECTION Any type of telepathic, empathic,
perceptive, or projective mind
communication between two people,
conscious or subconscious
PSI General term for anything relating to
psychic, psionic, soul, magick, etc.

SOUL SKILLS Skills that are improved or used by
viewing the world as a soul that animates
a body, and expanding the size and energy
level of the soul

There are also times when files found on BeYoND THe iLLuSioN
have a real home somewhere else on the Internet. In these
instances, we will gladly replace the file with a link to its
true home whenever it is brought to our attention. If you know
of the true home of any of these files, you can use our Report Original URL form to bring it yo our
attention.
