The Akashic Records Go High-Tech?
A curious thing happened to me recently.
I've been exploring magick and metaphysics for a considerable amount
of time, and became part of a channeling group that practices
channeling, grounding, journey, various chakra excercises, and
anything that we feel like doing on the nights we meet. Recently this
was a trip to the Akashic Library.
We traveled through the gates, drank from a fountain of pure white
light, and eventually were guided individually to an alcove in the
library where we were allowed to access our own Akashic Record. Most
people in the channeling group and most people I have talked to have
described their record as an enormous leatherbound book with a pattern
in gold or silver leaf across the cover. A few other described a thin
book of light weight. And then there was me.
When I accessed my Akashic Record for the first time, I was guided to
an alcove just as the others were. But instead of being brought a
heavy, leather-bound book like I had expected, I found a computer
monitor on a low stand in the back-left of the alcove. The screen was
large enough to accomadate two full size pages (like PageMaker users
always dream of) with the text readable. The pages shown were
incredibly detailed graphics of facing pages in an old, leatherbound
book.
I don't remember a mouse or a keyboard, the pages on the screen simply
flipped in whatever direction I visualized them going. It was almost
like a full screen video of unbelievable resolution, complete with the
sounds of turning pages as they flipped past.
It struck me afterwards that this experience was unusual, yet that
computer screen still awaits me every time I travel back. I began to
wonder why I, out of the entire group, would be the only one to
experience the Akashic Library going high-tech.
I still see billions of leatherbound books in the library when I
travel there, but that one alcove has them all digitized and
accessible over network. And everyone I've talked to receives the
leatherbound volumes. Obviously the library isn't going to get rid of
the books and go completely digital. There are lots of people who
couldn't handle the idea. But perhaps the best way the records could
be presented to me was through an online database.
I live and breathe computers; the school I work for even pays me to
play with them twenty hours a week. And while I like libraries and
books, computers seem to me like a much better way to access
information.
I have a few questions for everyone out there. First of all, has
anyone else experienced this phenomenon? I haven't run into it with
other people, but those other people have been computer illiterate.
If someone has experienced this, they're probably out here on the
Internet Beast somewhere.
Second of all, is it possible that the records are shown to me this
way because my mind relates to computers the best and the library
accomodates that? Or is there actually a change occurring in the
structure of the library? (I can't see that happenning, but it is
something my mind asks.)
I know that energy follows thought and that creation on the astral
level is instantaneous, but I am still unfamiliar with how the Akashic
Library works and what its rules are. I look forward to any
correspondence, input, theories, or pointers to further sources of
information.
