Carlos, greetings! I'm one of the people who can't get off the ground. You
may very well be on to something here. I always am thinking about floating
out and maybe banging on the ceiling, like I'm waiting, and waiting, and
waiting for this to happen, all the while nothing much does. I have had a
hunch that my problem is too much mental activity. Once, just before I got
married, my fiancee and I had discussed the idea of eloping to Key West, FL,
and getting married by the captain of a ship on the high seas. (We SHOULD
have done that, in retrospect). But anyway along about then I had a "dream"
I was in Key West (never been there before) LOOKING DOWN from what appeared
to be 30 to 50 feet in the air on a white mission-style church with a black
wrought-iron fence and gate where a wedding was going on. In the morning I
told my fiancee of the dream, and we decided to get married here at home, but
to take our honeymoon in Key West. Well, we got to Key West and were sauntering
down the main boulevard, and guess what? There it was! Exactly like I saw it,
EXACTLY, AND we crossed the street to look inside, but we couldn't go in,
because there was a WEDDING IN PROGRESS. Blew my mind, man. Well, what I'm
getting at is I must have AP'ed down there, and that was before I was trying
to AP, so you may be right in concentrating on the destination, as I must
have been when I flew over Key West.
Now that you mention it, Robert Monroe mentioned something similar in one of
his books. His friends were going south for a vacation, and he wanted to see
if he could describe their hotel, so he APed down there and I recall he said
his point of view was that of someone hovering about telephone pole height
above the ground. His observations turned out to be dead on.
Another experiment had him AP to a friend's home one night. He saw her
reading a book, until she glanced up towards him, then her face went ashen,
and she, knowing of his AP experiments, exclaimed "Bob, if that's you, get
the hell out of here". He left, and talked to her the next day. He'd given
her quite a scare. It seems she could see a smoky-misty light hanging in the
air before her.
One more and I'll cut you loose. Bob wanted to see if he could describe where
his secretary went on vacation, so he APed to their beachside cottage and saw
the secretary making lunch for a couple young girls. Just for the heck of it,
he reached over and gave her a pinch on the waist to see if she could feel
him, and she jumped about out of her skin. On her return, she didn't say
anything, until he inquired whether anything weird happened on the trip. At
first she couldn't think of anything, but he asked if she got pinched at all,
to which her jaw hit the floor. "That was YOU? You &$^#**$&(#!" She went up
one side of him and down the other, then, making sure they were alone, lifted
her blouse to show a bruise about the size of a silver dollar right on her
waist where Bob pinched her....Food for thought, no?
Thanks for the idea, I'll try it. What kind of image are you entertaining
when you think of Stonehenge? The circle of stones, or more detail, such as
where it is in England, etc? Hope to see you there!
