Most of the alien abduction stories I have heard involve bodily implants,
probes, experimentation without anesthesia...The aliens are described similar
to the face on the cover of "Communion" and they don't speak, but communicate
through telepathy...We've all heard these stories...The media loves them...
A few days ago, however, I met a woman who told me a much different story. She
was the night manager of a coffee shop in Rhodesia in the early 1970s. A woman
came in one night and they got to talking...Ultimately the woman invited her to
this gathering of her friends...They were discussing alien visitors...There, she
met a woman who told her a story about being abducted...The woman was married to
a South African police officer and was very "straight". In other words, she
wasn't obsessed with UFOs, wasn't into hallucinogenic drugs, etc...
The story goes: The woman was abducted (I can't remember the exact circumstances)
and brought about a space ship. There the aliens gave here a clear liquid to
drink that tasted much like orange juice. Then, they flew her over Johannesburg
and let her look through this powerful "microscrope." She was able to see through
the buildings, etc. and watch was was happening inside. The aliens told her about
the hole in the ozone layer (this is early 1970s, remember - before the media
latched onto it). They finally told her that they were visiting Earth as there
would come a day when humans screwed things up so badly that some would have to be
rescued before the planet destroyed itself...
Has anyone else heard of similar abductions?
